Scope of Responsibilities

As a Technical Support Engineer I, you will be working with multiple companies that utilize many different types of technologies.

Technologies you are required to know:

• Microsoft Windows platforms
• Solid experience handling Microsoft server platforms
• Experience with cloud and traditional SAN/NAS data storage solutions
• Strong experience in systems and network administration
• Basic Office 365 / G Suite administration
• Workstation hardware, software and printer troubleshooting
• Server hardware
• Experienced in installing and maintaining physical and virtual networks and firewalls
• Virtualization concepts
• Familiarity with Active Directory

Responsibilities and Duties

Daily duties:

• Facilitate client fixes
• Respond to trouble tickets in a timely manner
• Provide reports for said tickets
• Interface with customers
• Travel to customer sites
• Handle after shift support calls
• Work on projects while not working cases

Qualifications and Skills

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of technical support experience
• You must have good communication skills as you will be working closely with customers
• Hold a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation
• Be able to demonstrate competency and process documentation
• Certifications are a plus but not required
• Well-groomed appearance with business casual attire required
• Must have decent understanding of networking concepts and fundamentals (switching, firewall, protocol, topology and design)

Preferred but not required:

• Familiarity with Linux
• Exposure to AWS and Azure cloud platforms
• Security experience
• Cisco experience
