How do I get a technical sales engineer job in Austin?
The most direct path is targeting Austin's dense cluster of semiconductor, SaaS, and industrial tech companies, particularly those in the Domain and North Austin corridors. Candidates with hands-on experience in a technical discipline, such as electrical engineering or software, paired with customer-facing skills, stand out locally. Attending Austin tech meetups and events like SXSW Interactive also puts you in front of hiring managers at companies that recruit heavily from within the local community.
Which companies hire technical sales engineers in Austin?
Companies currently hiring technical sales engineers in Austin include CarMax, Amphenol, and Sysco, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026.
