Champion is one of the country's leading restaurant and franchise marketing agencies, and our digital practice is where brand strategy turns into measurable traffic through the door. We're looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to own consumer-facing digital media for a portfolio of multi-unit restaurant and retail brands and create the campaigns that drive guests into restaurants, orders into the app, and members into the loyalty program. This is a hands-on, build-it-yourself seat. You will personally run the accounts: structuring campaigns, writing the media plan, pacing the budget, pulling the numbers, and telling the story behind them. You'll manage 6–8 brands across paid media and CRM, working alongside Champion PR, influencer, and social teams.
About Champion Management Group, LLC
Description
What you'll own
Paid media strategy and execution
- Build, launch, and optimize campaigns across Google Ads (Search, Performance Max, Demand Gen, Local), Meta, TikTok, Reddit, and Programmatic DSPs
- Develop full-funnel media plans for new restaurant openings (NROs), LTO and menu launches, seasonal promotions, and always-on local awareness
- Own budget pacing across the portfolio including monthly targets, daily spend, and mid-flight reallocation between markets and channels
- Manage creative requirements and asset trafficking in partnership with the creative team, including placement-specific specs and creative testing plans
Measurement and tracking
- Own GA4 and Google Tag Manager implementation for client sites: conversion events, dataLayer pushes, Meta pixel and Conversions API, and platform tag deployment
- Partner with client-side developers and ordering platform vendors (Olo, Toast, Thanx, Punchh, Incentivio) to capture online ordering revenue and tie it back to media
- Build and maintain reporting through Supermetrics and Looker Studio
Email, CRM, and loyalty
- Plan and execute email and push campaigns through client loyalty and CRM platforms (Paytronix, Punchh, Thanx, Klaviyo and similar)
- Build segmentation and lifecycle strategy including new member onboarding, lapsed guest win-back, LTO announcements, birthday and reward campaigns
- Connect CRM audiences to paid media for suppression, lookalike modeling, and retention targeting
Strategy and client communication
- Build monthly and quarterly performance reports and present them clearly to client stakeholders, in partnership with the account lead
- Translate performance data into recommendations
- Contribute to annual planning, and budget recommendations
- Navigate multi-location logistics: franchisee budgets, co-op funds, DMA-level allocation
What we're looking for
- 4–6 years of hands-on paid media experience, ideally in an agency or multi-location brand environment
- Deep, in-platform fluency in Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager with the ability to build a campaign from scratch, diagnose why one is underperforming, and explain the difference between a targeting problem and a creative problem
- Working knowledge of GA4 and GTM; comfortable inspecting a tag, writing a conversion event spec, and working with a developer to get it implemented
- Strong spreadsheet skills: pacing models, budget splits, and performance analysis without waiting on someone else to pull the data
- Clear written and verbal communication: able to explain a media decision to someone who doesn't work in ads
- Organized and self-directed across a multi-client workload, with a track record of hitting deadlines without being chased
Nice to have
- Restaurant, hospitality, retail, or franchise experience, especially with multi-unit or franchisee-funded media
- Experience with programmatic platforms and geofencing (GroundTruth, StackAdapt, The Trade Desk)
- Familiarity with restaurant tech stacks: Olo, Toast, Punchh, Thanx, Paytronix, Incentivio
- Supermetrics, Looker Studio, Zapier or comparable reporting automation
- Google Ads and Meta Blueprint certifications
Why Champion
You'll work on brands people actually recognize and on campaigns where the results show up in a restaurant's sales the same week. Our digital practice is growing and new digital tools are being unlocked regularly. If you want to own accounts, go deep technically, and see your work move a business, this is that seat.
Champion is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.

Digital Marketing Specialist Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a digital marketing specialist in Texas?
Digital marketing specialist roles in Texas do not require a state-issued license or certification, so the path starts with a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or a related field. Texas employers also respond well to industry-recognized credentials such as Google Ads certification or the Meta Blueprint certification. Building a portfolio of campaign results and gaining experience through internships at Texas-based agencies or corporate marketing teams strengthens any application considerably.
How much do digital marketing specialists make in Texas?
Digital marketing specialists in Texas earn a median of about $72,520 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $37,640 for the lowest 10% to over $135,710 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire digital marketing specialists in Texas?
Employers hiring digital marketing specialists in Texas right now include Abbott, AYC, and LocaliQ, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Texas's mix of Fortune 500 headquarters, regional retailers, and fast-growing tech companies means demand comes from a wide range of industries rather than a single dominant sector.
Which Texas cities have the most digital marketing specialist jobs?
Houston, Austin, and Irving have the most digital marketing specialist openings in Texas. Austin's dense technology and startup ecosystem drives demand there, Dallas's concentration of corporate headquarters and agency headquarters makes it the largest overall market, and Houston's energy, healthcare, and retail sectors sustain consistent hiring across all seniority levels.
Are there remote digital marketing specialist jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 47% of digital marketing specialist openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how thoroughly desk-based this work is. Campaign management, SEO, content strategy, and paid media roles are the most likely to be fully remote, while positions requiring close coordination with in-house creative or sales teams tend to be hybrid.
How can I get hired as a digital marketing specialist in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an internship or entry-level coordinator role at a Texas-based digital agency or in-house marketing team, where you build measurable campaign experience quickly. Large Texas employers such as H-E-B, Dell Technologies, and AT&T run structured internship and rotational programs open to recent graduates. Candidates coming from adjacent roles in content writing, social media management, or sales operations frequently make a lateral move into digital marketing. Earning a Google Ads or HubSpot certification and assembling a portfolio of real or spec campaign work gives applicants without a long resume a concrete edge.
Where can I find and apply to digital marketing specialist jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to digital marketing specialist jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly to the ones that match.
