Digital Marketing Specialist (In-House) — LA Furniture Store
Location: Los Angeles, CA — on-site
Employment type: Full-time
Compensation: $25–$38 per hour, depending on experience, plus performance bonus
Who we are
LA Furniture Store is not your typical furniture retailer. We sell modern, contemporary, and design-forward furniture to customers who care deeply about aesthetics, quality, and the way a space feels.
That means our marketing challenges don't look like everyone else's. Our products are high-consideration, high-ticket, yet affordable and visually driven. Our customers research for weeks. Our catalog is huge and constantly evolving. Generic "furniture retail" playbooks don't work for us — which is exactly why we're building this role in-house instead of handing it to an outside agency.
Why in-house, and why you
We've found that outside agencies never fully learn our products, our brands, or our customer. We want someone who will — someone who becomes an expert in modern furniture, understands our margins and our buyer, and can move fast without a middleman. You'll own our digital presence from the inside, with direct access to our merchandising, sales, and leadership teams.
What you'll do
- Plan, launch, and optimize paid campaigns across Google Ads , Meta, Social Media and other relevant channels
- Manage and improve our product feeds and Shopping campaigns across a large, frequently changing catalog
- Own SEO for a content- and product-heavy site — technical, on-page, and content strategy
- Run and grow email/SMS marketing (promotions, abandoned cart, post-purchase, segmentation)
- Track, analyze, and report on performance (ROAS, CAC, conversion rate) and turn data into action
- Coordinate creative needs — product photography, lifestyle imagery, landing pages — with internal and freelance resources
- Support marketing across our sister brands and multiple showroom locations
- Stay on top of trends in modern/luxury furniture and design e-commerce
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of hands-on digital marketing experience, ideally in e-commerce or retail
- Proven results with Google Ads and Meta Ads (please share real numbers)
- Strong grasp of Google Shopping / product feed management
- Solid SEO fundamentals and comfort with analytics
- Experience with email/SMS platforms (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or similar)
- An eye for design and an appreciation for high-end, visually driven products
- Self-directed, organized, and able to own projects end to end
Nice to have
- Experience marketing
- Familiarity with the furniture, home, or interior design space
What we offer
- $25–$29 per hour, based on experience
- Performance bonus tied to real results — when your campaigns drive revenue, you share in the win
- Room to grow — this role has a clear path toward a Marketing Manager position as you prove yourself and as our brands expand
- [Benefits: health, PTO, etc.]
- Direct impact and ownership — your work drives real revenue, not a line item on an agency invoice
- A stable, growing, family-owned company with multiple brands and locations
To apply: Submit your resume and a short note on a digital marketing win you're proud of — ideally with the numbers behind it.
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
Benefits:
- 401(k)
- Dental insurance
- Flexible spending account
- Health insurance
- Health savings account
- Life insurance
- Paid time off
- Vision insurance

Digital Marketing Specialist Jobs in California: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a digital marketing specialist in California?
California does not require a state-issued license for digital marketing specialists, so the path centers on education and demonstrated skills. Most California employers expect a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field. Industry certifications from Google, Meta, and HubSpot carry real weight in California hiring, particularly in competitive markets like Los Angeles and the Bay Area. Building a portfolio of campaign results or analytics work accelerates hiring at every level.
How much do digital marketing specialists make in California?
Digital marketing specialists in California earn a median of about $94,700 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $48,440 for the lowest 10% to over $181,600 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire digital marketing specialists in California?
Employers hiring digital marketing specialists in California right now include AEG Worldwide, PragerU, and Skechers, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. California's concentration of technology firms, entertainment studios, and direct-to-consumer brands means demand for specialists who understand digital-first audiences is especially strong across the state.
Which California cities have the most digital marketing specialist jobs?
Los Angeles, Irvine, and San Diego have the most digital marketing specialist openings in California. Los Angeles draws volume from entertainment, streaming, and consumer brands, while the San Francisco Bay Area reflects demand from technology and SaaS companies, and San Diego's growing biotech and lifestyle brand sectors add a consistent stream of openings outside the two largest metros.
Are there remote digital marketing specialist jobs in California?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 52% of digital marketing specialist openings tied to California are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how naturally this work translates to distributed teams. Roles focused on paid media management, SEO, and content strategy tend to be the most remote-friendly, while positions requiring in-person collaboration with creative or product teams are more likely to be on-site.
How can I get hired as a digital marketing specialist in California with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an associate or coordinator role at a California agency or in-house marketing team, where you learn across channels before specializing. Large California employers like tech firms and entertainment companies often post entry-level marketing associate openings that accept recent graduates. A portfolio showing even personal or class projects in paid search, social, or analytics gives a strong edge. Adjacent roles in content writing, social media coordination, or marketing operations also serve as reliable stepping stones into specialist positions.
