The Marketing & Outreach Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing Albany Housing Coalition's (AHC) outreach, fundraising, and public engagement efforts. This role strengthens AHC's visibility in the community, builds relationships with donors and partners, ad supports fundraising efforts that directly benefit veterans and families served by the organization. The position serves as the primary driver of external communications, community partnerships, and grassroots fundraising efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage social media platforms including content creation, scheduling, and engagement
- Develop and maintain consistent branding, messaging, and visual identity
- Create marketing materials for events, campaigns, and fundraising efforts
- Maintain and update website content related to events, impact stories, and donations
- Develop and distribute email marketing campaigns and newsletters
- Collect and share client success stories and impact narratives (with consent)
Community Outreach & Partnerships
- Build relationships with local businesses, schools, colleges, sports teams, and community organizations
- Coordinate donation drives, fundraising nights, and sponsorship opportunities
- Represent AHC at community events, fairs, and networking opportunities
- Develop seasonal outreach initiatives (holiday sponsorships, backtoschool drives)
- Support volunteer recruitment and engagement efforts
Fundraising Efforts
- Plan and coordinate fundraising events such as benefit concerts and community lunches
- Work with local artists, bands, venues, and vendors
- Coordinate holiday sponsorship programs for families served by AHC
- Assist with merchandise design and eventbased sales
- Support donor cultivation through followups and acknowledgements
Donor & Public Relations
- Conduct outreach to local businesses for monetary and inkind donations
- Assist with corporate and employeegiving program outreach
- Support local medial outreach including press releases and community listings
- Track outreach, engagement, and fundraising metrics
