Synergy Physical Therapy is a locally owned outpatient orthopedic practice with four Utah County clinics: Spanish Fork Main, Spanish Fork Sports Park, Mapleton, and Provo. We combine one-on-one orthopedic care with advanced measurement technology and detailed documentation. That makes us a strong partner for physicians, personal injury attorneys, and the athletes and families who rely on them.
The Role
You'll be the face of Synergy in the community. Your job is to build real relationships with physicians, personal injury attorneys, coaches, employers, and community groups so the people who need care get to us. You'll spend most of your week out of the office, on a route you own, and work directly with the practice owners.
What You'll Do
- Build and grow referral relationships with orthopedic, primary care, and sports medicine offices, PI attorneys, schools, gyms, and employers
- Run regular office visits, lunches, and meet-and-greets
- Represent Synergy at health fairs, senior centers, and sporting events
- Review referral reports, spot drop-offs early, and build a growth plan for each clinic
- Track the new evaluations that come from your work (this drives your bonus)
- Help shape monthly marketing themes and join a weekly marketing meeting with ownership
- Support new patients early in their care so referral sources hear great things back
- 2+ years in healthcare, patient care, or relationship sales (medical, device, fitness, or similar)
- Live in Utah County and have a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
- Confident, warm communicator who follows through
- Organized enough to plan your own week and hit your own goals
- Basic understanding of health insurance (we'll fill in the rest)
- Clinical background such as ATC, PTA, MA, CNA, EMT, or OTA
- Existing relationships with Utah County physicians or attorneys
- Degree in marketing, business, or healthcare administration
- Uncapped bonus. Your outreach directly drives your income.
- You report to the owners, not a corporate layer
- Flexible, self-directed schedule
- Room to grow into a marketing leadership role as we expand

Community Outreach Specialist Jobs in Utah: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a community outreach specialist in Utah?
Most Utah employers require a bachelor's degree in social work, public health, communications, or a related discipline as the foundation for this role. Utah does not issue a state license specifically for community outreach specialists, but candidates pursuing social services work may strengthen their profile by earning a Certified Case Manager credential or completing coursework aligned with the National Certified Counselor pathway. Experience with Utah's specific communities, including rural outreach or refugee resettlement programs, is a practical differentiator valued by major state employers.
Which companies hire community outreach specialists in Utah?
Employers hiring community outreach specialists in Utah right now include Synergy PT, Senior Helpers, and Peak ENT Associates, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of October 2026. Utah's strong nonprofit sector, large healthcare systems, and state-funded public health programs generate consistent year-round openings across the Wasatch Front.
Which Utah cities have the most community outreach specialist jobs?
Provo, Ogden, and Smithfield have the most community outreach specialist openings in Utah. Salt Lake City drives the largest share, home to major hospital systems, state government agencies, and a dense nonprofit corridor, while Provo's concentration of universities and social service organizations and Ogden's growing public health infrastructure pull strong hiring in those regions as well.
Are there remote community outreach specialist jobs in Utah?
Yes, but they're rare. Community outreach work is inherently field-based, requiring in-person relationship building, community events, and direct client contact that cannot fully transfer online. About 100% of community outreach specialist openings tied to Utah are remote or hybrid as of October 2026, reflecting the hands-on nature of the role. When remote options do exist, they tend to cover administrative coordination, grant reporting, or program planning duties rather than direct outreach responsibilities.
How can I get hired as a community outreach specialist in Utah with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through an AmeriCorps placement with Utah-based programs such as United Way of Salt Lake or Volunteers of America Utah, both of which regularly bring in members who transition into paid coordinator roles after their service term. Adjacent positions like case aide, volunteer coordinator, or health educator assistant at Intermountain Health or the Utah Department of Health and Human Services are also common stepping stones. Completing a FEMA Community Emergency Response Team certification or a community health worker training strengthens entry-level applications across the state.
Where can I find and apply to community outreach specialist jobs in Utah?
