Does AbbVie sponsor H-1B visas for Patient Services Managers?
Yes, AbbVie sponsors H-1B visas for Patient Services Manager roles. The position qualifies as a specialty occupation because it requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as health sciences, life sciences, or business. AbbVie works with immigration counsel to file the necessary Labor Condition Application with DOL and the I-129 petition with USCIS on the employee's behalf.
Which visa types are commonly used for Patient Services Manager roles at AbbVie?
AbbVie sponsors multiple visa categories for this role, including H-1B, H-1B1 for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, E-3 for Australian nationals, and TN for Canadian and Mexican professionals. F-1 OPT and CPT candidates actively working toward graduation can also be considered. For long-term pathways, AbbVie has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card petitions for employees in this function.
How do I apply for Patient Services Manager jobs at AbbVie?
Browse current Patient Services Manager openings at AbbVie through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles with confirmed sponsorship history so you can focus your applications efficiently. Once you identify a fit, apply directly through AbbVie's careers portal, tailor your resume to highlight patient access, reimbursement, or hub experience, and disclose your visa sponsorship needs upfront during the initial recruiter screen.
What qualifications does AbbVie look for in Patient Services Manager candidates?
AbbVie typically expects a bachelor's degree in a life sciences, nursing, pharmacy, or business-related field combined with direct experience in patient services, specialty pharmacy reimbursement, or field case management. Familiarity with prior authorization processes, hub operations, and patient support programs is a strong differentiator. Candidates with therapeutic area experience in immunology, oncology, or neuroscience are particularly competitive for available openings.
How do I manage the sponsorship timeline when accepting an offer from AbbVie?
Once AbbVie extends an offer, the company must file a Labor Condition Application with DOL before submitting any H-1B or E-3 petition to USCIS. Standard USCIS processing runs several months, though premium processing is available for faster adjudication. If you're transitioning from OPT, confirm your OPT expiration date early so AbbVie's immigration team can assess whether a cap-gap extension or bridging strategy applies to your situation.
