Target roles that align with H-1B specialty occupation criteria
Active Cyber operates in Technology & Software, where roles in cybersecurity, software engineering, and systems analysis typically qualify as specialty occupations. Focus your application on technical positions that clearly require a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field.
Understand that Green Card sponsorship is part of their history
Active Cyber has sponsored permanent residency alongside work visas, which signals long-term hiring intent. If you're thinking beyond an initial visa, it's worth asking about their EB-2 or EB-3 pathways during the offer negotiation stage.
Research which open roles match their sponsored visa types
Not every position at a tech company leads to sponsorship. Filter your job search to roles that align with H-1B, TN, or Green Card pathways at Active Cyber. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history.
Prepare for a targeted technical interview process
Cybersecurity and technology firms like Active Cyber typically run role-specific technical assessments. Brush up on domain knowledge relevant to the position, a strong technical showing signals you're worth the investment of sponsorship paperwork and legal costs.
Ask about TN visa eligibility if you're Canadian or Mexican
Active Cyber sponsors TN visas, which offer a faster and simpler path for qualifying Canadian and Mexican nationals in technology roles. If you hold citizenship in either country, confirm whether your specific job title falls under eligible TN categories before applying.

Find Active Cyber JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Active Cyber sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Active Cyber sponsors H-1B visas. Their sponsorship activity is concentrated in Technology & Software roles that meet the specialty occupation standard, typically positions requiring a degree in a specific technical or engineering discipline. If you're targeting an H-1B, focus on roles where your educational background directly matches the job requirements, and be upfront about your sponsorship needs early in the hiring process.
What visa types does Active Cyber sponsor?
Active Cyber sponsors H-1B work visas, Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based preference categories, F-1 OPT for recent graduates, and TN visas for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals. The mix of work visa and permanent residency sponsorship suggests a company that's open to supporting candidates through multiple stages of their U.S. immigration journey, not just an initial work authorization period.
Which roles at Active Cyber are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Active Cyber is most common for specialized technical roles, think cybersecurity analysts, software engineers, systems architects, and similar positions where a specific degree is a genuine requirement for the job. Roles in Technology & Software that can demonstrate a direct connection between the candidate's field of study and the position's duties are the strongest candidates for H-1B and Green Card sponsorship.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at Active Cyber?
The most reliable approach is to search specifically for Active Cyber on Migrate Mate, which tracks verified sponsorship history and filters job listings by visa type. This lets you confirm which current openings are tied to actual sponsorship activity rather than relying on unverified job postings. From there, apply directly through Active Cyber's careers page and make your visa requirements clear in your application.
How do I approach the application process at Active Cyber as an international candidate?
Lead with your technical qualifications and be transparent about your visa status from the first interaction. Active Cyber's sponsorship history in Technology & Software indicates familiarity with the immigration process, so you're unlikely to face a hard no based on sponsorship alone. Prepare documentation showing your degree field aligns with the role, confirm your current status and any deadlines, and ask about their internal immigration counsel or legal support process once you reach the offer stage.
