INTRODUCTION
Are you a hands-on technical builder passionate about driving business innovation through cutting-edge AI architecture? ActiveCampaign is seeking an Sr AI Engineer - AI Transformation Hub who will sit at the critical intersection of infrastructure and business innovation. In this role, you will not just help build capabilities—you will take meaningful ownership of how key parts of our internal AI agent platform evolve. You will help design the technical foundation that enables teams across the company to build, deploy, operate, and improve AI agents at scale.
This position is focused on architecting and owning the core capabilities that make agent development reliable, reusable, and scalable. You will design and improve deployment patterns, integrations, observability frameworks, and shared infrastructure that allow us to move beyond simple automation into complex, mission-critical business processes across the company. Beyond building platform capabilities, you will work directly with cross-functional teams to move agents from ambitious ideas to production-ready solutions. You will help define technical patterns, shape how capabilities should be built, and unblock teams day to day—ensuring our infrastructure directly supports strategic business impact.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
What Good Looks Like
- Agent teams can build faster because core infrastructure, standards, and patterns are already in place.
- Shared capabilities are designed with enough quality and reusability that multiple teams can adopt them without starting from scratch.
- Agent deployment becomes more reliable, supportable, and scalable across a growing set of business use cases.
- Technical blockers around integrations, permissions, environments, and monitoring are reduced over time because this role proactively addresses root causes.
- The AI Transformation Hub has stronger technical direction around how core agent capabilities should be designed, implemented, and operated.
- Builders across the organization are better supported because they have a senior technical partner who can guide design decisions, debug issues, and help move critical work forward.
On a Typical Day, You Might:
- Own the design and evolution of core capabilities within our internal AI agent platform to support high-impact business workflows and AI agents.
- Define and improve deployment patterns, shared services, and orchestration approaches that enable complex agent use cases to run reliably.
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate high-priority strategic goals into scalable AI agent solutions.
- Work hands-on with builders to debug issues, answer technical questions, and unblock day-to-day development while also improving the underlying platform.
- Investigate failing repositories, run code locally when needed, and fix infrastructure or environment issues at the root cause.
- Build and maintain shared services—such as reusable modules, integration layers, logging patterns, and data access approaches—that multiple teams can leverage.
- Drive decisions around observability, governance, permissions, reliability, and cost-aware usage to ensure our AI transformation is sustainable and secure.
- Help set technical direction for how new capabilities should be designed so we create durable foundations rather than one-off solutions.
- Collaborate across engineering and business functions to identify and shape new high-value opportunities for agent-led innovation.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Comfort troubleshooting complex technical issues across infrastructure, application logic, and third-party integrations.
- Prior experience building internal platforms, shared services, developer tooling, or reusable technical foundations.

- Practical experience working with AI-powered applications, agent architectures, LLM-based workflows, or adjacent systems.
- Strong communication skills and the proven ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-moving environment.

Focus on roles that align with EB-2 and EB-3 pathways
ActiveCampaign sponsors Green Cards rather than H-1B visas, so target roles that support permanent residency, typically engineering, product, and technical specialist positions where degree requirements are clearly defined and the company has established a sponsorship pattern.
Understand that Green Card sponsorship is a longer commitment
Employer-sponsored Green Cards through EB-2 and EB-3 involve PERM labor certification, which takes time. Approach ActiveCampaign as an employer you plan to stay with, demonstrating long-term interest in the company signals you understand what sponsorship involves.
Target technical and specialist roles in the Technology & Software division
ActiveCampaign's sponsorship history is concentrated in technology roles. Positions requiring specialized knowledge in software, data, or systems are more likely to qualify for the EB-2 or EB-3 classifications the company actively uses for international employees.
Raise sponsorship early in the process, not after an offer
Because ActiveCampaign sponsors permanent residency rather than short-term work visas, recruiters need to assess long-term fit from the start. Mention your need for Green Card sponsorship in your initial application or first screening call, not as an afterthought.
Use a platform that filters by actual sponsorship history
Not all job boards show you which employers have sponsored your visa type before. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you confirm ActiveCampaign has sponsored your specific visa category before you apply.
Highlight your long-term career trajectory in the U.S.
ActiveCampaign's Green Card sponsorship reflects investment in employees who plan to stay. In interviews, frame your professional goals around building a sustained career in marketing technology, showing alignment with the company's products, culture, and long-term growth.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does ActiveCampaign sponsor H-1B visas?
Based on available sponsorship data, ActiveCampaign has not been an active H-1B visa sponsor. The company's visa sponsorship activity is concentrated on permanent residency pathways, specifically EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards. If you currently hold H-1B status through another employer, you would need to evaluate whether a Green Card-only sponsor meets your immediate work authorization needs before applying.
What visa types does ActiveCampaign sponsor?
ActiveCampaign sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visas, both of which lead to a U.S. Green Card. The EB-2 category generally applies to professionals with advanced degrees or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers skilled workers with a qualifying bachelor's degree and relevant experience. Neither pathway provides immediate work authorization, sponsorship typically begins after you've joined the company and established yourself in the role.
Which roles or departments at ActiveCampaign are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
ActiveCampaign's sponsorship activity is most commonly associated with technical and specialist roles in engineering, software development, and related technology functions. These positions tend to have well-defined degree requirements and specialized skill sets that support EB-2 and EB-3 eligibility. If you're in a generalist or business operations role, sponsorship is less common, though not impossible if the position meets PERM labor certification criteria.
How do I find open roles at ActiveCampaign that are open to visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you search and filter jobs by employer sponsorship history, so you can see exactly which ActiveCampaign roles have been associated with visa sponsorship in the past. This removes the guesswork of cold-applying and wondering whether a company will support your immigration needs. Browse ActiveCampaign's open positions on Migrate Mate to identify roles that match both your skills and your sponsorship requirements.
How do I approach the application process at ActiveCampaign as an international candidate?
Be transparent about your need for Green Card sponsorship from the first point of contact. Because ActiveCampaign's sponsorship process involves permanent residency, not a temporary work visa, recruiters will want to assess long-term fit early. Tailor your application to demonstrate deep alignment with the company's marketing automation product space, highlight any specialized technical expertise, and be prepared to discuss your immigration timeline and current work authorization status during initial screening.
