Tailor your portfolio to Adobe's product ecosystem
Adobe hires Senior Data Science Engineers to work on products like Firefly, Sensei, and Experience Cloud. Frame your portfolio around recommendation systems, generative AI, or behavioral analytics to align with the applied ML work these teams actually do.
Verify your degree qualifies as a specialty occupation
USCIS requires H-1B roles to qualify as specialty occupations. For Senior Data Science Engineer positions, a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, statistics, or a directly related field is the clearest path. A general or unrelated degree will create friction in the petition.
Target Adobe's teams hiring across multiple visa types
Adobe sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT for Senior Data Science Engineer roles, which means your visa category shouldn't disqualify you before the conversation starts. Filter specifically for senior-level data science openings to avoid roles that may not clear USCIS's experience threshold.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Senior Data Science Engineer roles
Adobe posts Senior Data Science Engineer openings across multiple teams and locations. Use Migrate Mate to browse current listings filtered by visa type so you're only applying to roles where sponsorship is confirmed, not assumed.
Align your start date with H-1B cap timing if you're on OPT
If you're on F-1 OPT, Adobe can file your H-1B in April for an October 1 start. Apply at least four to six months before your OPT expiry so there's time to secure STEM OPT extension as a fallback if the lottery doesn't select you.
Prepare for Adobe's technical process before the offer stage
Adobe's interview loop for Senior Data Science Engineers typically includes system design, ML depth, and a business case component. Demonstrating production-scale modeling experience, not just research, signals the seniority level that justifies a sponsored petition with DOL prevailing wage compliance.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Adobe sponsor H-1B visas for Senior Data Science Engineers?
Yes, Adobe sponsors H-1B visas for Senior Data Science Engineer roles. Adobe participates in the annual H-1B cap lottery each April and also files cap-exempt petitions where eligible. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, Adobe can file an H-1B transfer so you can start without waiting for a new cap cycle.
Which visa types does Adobe commonly sponsor for Senior Data Science Engineer roles?
Adobe sponsors H-1B, E-3 visa, TN visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1 visa, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Senior Data Science Engineer positions. Australian citizens should ask specifically about the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and a faster processing timeline. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN visa status, which can be obtained at the border.
What qualifications does Adobe expect for a Senior Data Science Engineer?
Adobe typically expects a master's or Ph.D. in computer science, statistics, or a related quantitative field, along with hands-on experience building and deploying ML models at scale. Proficiency in Python, deep learning frameworks, and experience with large-scale data pipelines are consistently required. Domain experience in personalization, computer vision, or NLP aligns well with Adobe's product priorities.
How do I apply for Senior Data Science Engineer jobs at Adobe?
You can browse Senior Data Science Engineer openings on Adobe's careers site or use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Adobe roles that include visa sponsorship. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect production ML systems and measurable business impact. Adobe's hiring process for this level typically includes a recruiter screen, technical assessments, and a multi-round virtual interview loop.
How do I time my application if my OPT or visa status is expiring soon?
Apply as early as possible. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm whether you qualify for a 24-month STEM OPT extension, which gives Adobe more runway to complete the H-1B process. USCIS premium processing can reduce the I-129 adjudication window to roughly 15 business days, which matters if your current status has a hard end date.
