INTRODUCTION
Adobe's Partnerships organization drives growth and access to new technology by partnering with top tech companies. This role leads Partnerships Strategy & Operations, a team of highly motivated strategy specialists that acts as the accelerant for the Partnerships organization. You'll own two connected mandates: Define strategy by identifying high-impact opportunities and crafting the frameworks the Partnerships team follows. Also, drive insights and operational excellence by tracking performance and managing the budget, headcount, and goals and achievements rhythms.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy: Lead the "top of the funnel" and "see around corners." Anticipate high-impact opportunities aligned to Adobe's product priorities. Set category strategy and prioritization for the rest of the Partnerships team to complete. Keep the strategy aligned to the company's priorities through annual Interlocks and QBRs. Feed collaborative insights back as input to Adobe's broader strategy and prioritization.
Insights & Operations: Track partnership metrics and derive insights to iterate on strategy. Define and track Corporate Partnerships OKRs; own budget tracking, headcount planning, and resource reallocation; design end-to-end partnership processes that keep the group aligned and efficient.
Leadership & Communication: Manage and develop the team, coaching it to turn analyses into actionable recommendations, and persuasively communicate the partnerships strategy and plan to cross-functional teams and executives.

- Strong analytical rigor and excellent executive communication and influence.
- Experience building and leading high-performing teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior partner strategy or partner operations experience at a technology company.

Frame your portfolio around Adobe's platforms
Before applying, map your strategy work to Adobe's core business lines: Creative Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Document Cloud. Hiring managers evaluate whether your background translates to software and digital experience markets, not just general corporate strategy.
Target roles through internal mobility signals
Adobe frequently posts Strategy Director roles tied to specific product or GTM teams. Filter open roles by business unit rather than title alone. Roles embedded in Experience Cloud tend to involve closer collaboration with enterprise sales, which shapes the sponsorship conversation differently.
Clarify sponsorship eligibility before final rounds
Adobe's recruiting process moves quickly at the director level. Ask your recruiter directly which visa types their legal team currently supports for this role and whether your situation falls under H-1B cap-subject or cap-exempt filing, so there are no surprises at offer stage.
Align your offer timing with H-1B cap deadlines
If you need a new H-1B, USCIS opens registration in March for an October 1 start date. If Adobe extends an offer outside that window, discuss whether a cap-exempt employer relationship or change of status from F-1 OPT is viable while you wait for the next cycle.
Verify E-3 eligibility if you hold Australian citizenship
Strategy Director roles at Adobe qualify as specialty occupations under E-3 criteria. The E-3 has no lottery and allows Adobe to file year-round, which makes the hiring timeline significantly more predictable than H-1B cap-subject filing for Australian nationals.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Strategy Director roles
Filtering by visa type and employer can save weeks of manual research. Use Migrate Mate to identify currently open Strategy Director positions at Adobe and confirm which visa categories Adobe is actively sponsoring for this function right now.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Adobe sponsor H-1B visas for Strategy Directors?
Yes, Adobe sponsors H-1B visas for Strategy Director roles. If you're subject to the H-1B cap, Adobe's legal team will file your petition during the annual March registration window for an October 1 start. If you're already on a valid H-1B with another employer, Adobe can file a transfer petition year-round, which avoids the lottery entirely.
How do I apply for Strategy Director jobs at Adobe?
Applications go through Adobe's careers portal at adobe.com/careers. Strategy Director roles are typically listed under the Corporate Strategy or Go-to-Market functions. You can also use Migrate Mate to browse currently open Strategy Director positions at Adobe filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility, which reduces the risk of applying to roles where sponsorship isn't available.
Which visa types does Adobe commonly sponsor for Strategy Directors?
Adobe sponsors H-1B, E-3 visa, TN visa, and O-1 visas for senior strategy roles, and supports Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 and EB-3 pathways for long-tenured employees. F-1 OPT and CPT are available for early-career hires, though Strategy Director roles almost always require significant prior experience that makes OPT less common at this level.
What qualifications does Adobe expect for a Strategy Director?
Adobe's Strategy Director roles typically require an MBA or equivalent advanced degree, combined with experience in management consulting, investment banking, or an in-house strategy function at a software or digital media company. For visa sponsorship purposes, your degree field must directly relate to the specialty occupation, so business strategy, economics, or a relevant technical discipline are the strongest credential foundations.
How do I time my application if I need visa sponsorship at Adobe?
If you need H-1B cap-subject sponsorship, factor in that USCIS registration opens in March and work authorization begins October 1 at the earliest. Adobe will typically extend a conditional offer before filing. If you're on F-1 OPT with a STEM extension, you may have up to 36 months of work authorization to bridge the gap, giving you flexibility on start timing.
