Frame your sales credentials around consultative selling
ADT Sales Professional roles emphasize needs assessment and solution-based selling, not order-taking. Highlight experience qualifying prospects, managing pipelines, and closing service contracts. These specifics align directly with how ADT structures its sales hiring criteria.
Search verified sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Sales Professional openings at ADT by visa type before you apply. This saves you from investing in applications at locations or divisions that don't have active sponsorship approval in place for this role category.
Understand how territory-based roles affect LCA filings
ADT Sales Professionals often work across assigned geographic territories. Your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL listing your worksite location. If your territory shifts significantly, a new LCA may be required before you begin working in the new area.
Prepare documentation that ties your degree to a sales specialty
USCIS requires H-1B specialty occupation evidence connecting your degree to the role. For Sales Professional positions in security services, a degree in business, marketing, or a related field with documentation of technical product training strengthens your petition against a potential RFE.
Clarify sponsorship scope before accepting an offer
Ask the recruiter specifically whether the offer includes Green Card sponsorship via PERM or only temporary visa support. ADT sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 categories for some roles, but not all positions or locations qualify, and confirming this early avoids delays after you've already started.

Find Sales Professional at ADT JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does ADT sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Professionals?
Yes, ADT sponsors H-1B visas for Sales Professional roles. If you're already on an H-1B, ADT can file a transfer petition without waiting for the annual cap. If you need a new H-1B, timing matters because cap-subject filings are limited to one lottery cycle per year, with the registration window opening each March.
Which visa types are commonly used for Sales Professional roles at ADT?
ADT supports H-1B and E-3 visas for Sales Professional positions, along with F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates entering the role. For candidates pursuing permanent residency, ADT has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card petitions for this function, though eligibility depends on the specific role and location.
What qualifications and experience does ADT expect for Sales Professional roles?
ADT typically looks for experience in consultative or solution-based sales, ideally within security, technology, or services industries. A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field supports both the hiring case and any visa petition. Demonstrated ability to manage a sales territory, meet quotas, and close service contracts is central to what ADT evaluates.
How do I apply for Sales Professional jobs at ADT?
You can browse and apply for Sales Professional openings at ADT directly through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship eligibility so you only see positions where sponsorship is available for your visa category. From there, apply directly and be upfront with the recruiter about your visa status and authorization timeline early in the process.
How do I time my application if my OPT or visa status is expiring soon?
Start the application process at least three to four months before your current work authorization expires. If you're on F-1 OPT, a STEM extension can provide additional runway while an H-1B petition is prepared. H-1B transfers for candidates already holding the visa can move faster, but USCIS standard processing still runs several months without premium processing.
