Credential Your Clinical Qualifications Early
International healthcare credentials often require state licensure or USCIS-recognized equivalency before sponsorship can begin. Get your foreign transcripts evaluated and confirm your license is valid in the state where AHF operates before applying.
Target AHF's Patient-Facing Healthcare Openings
AHF staffs clinical roles directly tied to HIV prevention, primary care, and pharmacy services. Roles requiring licensure in nursing, pharmacy, or social work tend to have clearer specialty occupation footing, which strengthens an H-1B petition significantly.
Research AHF's Visa History on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Healthcare roles at AIDS Healthcare Foundation by visa type and browse active openings. It surfaces sponsorship-eligible positions so you're applying where support is most likely, not guessing from a generic job board.
Understand the TN Path If You're Canadian or Mexican
TN status covers several healthcare occupations, including medical technologists, physical therapists, and pharmacists. If your role qualifies under USMCA's TN occupation list, AHF can sponsor you without the H-1B lottery, and processing is faster.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope During the Offer Stage
Ask HR directly whether the offer includes full H-1B filing, USCIS fees, and legal support, or only the petition signature. Knowing this before you accept lets you plan for out-of-pocket costs and avoid surprises during the I-129 process.

Does AIDS Healthcare Foundation sponsor H-1B visas for Healthcares?
Yes, AIDS Healthcare Foundation has sponsored H-1B visas for Healthcare professionals. The H-1B is the most common route for licensed clinical and pharmacy roles that qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards. Because H-1B approvals are subject to the annual lottery, you'll need to plan your application timeline carefully and confirm with AHF's HR team that the specific role you're targeting is eligible.
How do I apply for Healthcare jobs at AIDS Healthcare Foundation?
Start by searching AHF's careers page for open Healthcare roles and filtering by location, since AHF operates clinics, pharmacies, and testing centers across multiple states. Tailor your application to highlight direct patient care experience relevant to HIV prevention or primary care. Indicate your visa sponsorship needs early in the process so recruiters can route your application correctly from the start.
Which visa types does AIDS Healthcare Foundation use for Healthcare roles?
AHF has worked with H-1B, TN, J-1, and F-1 OPT and CPT classifications for Healthcare positions. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying healthcare occupations under USMCA. J-1 is common for clinical exchange visitors and medical graduates. F-1 OPT covers recent graduates in healthcare fields completing their practical training period before transitioning to long-term sponsorship.
What qualifications are expected for Healthcare roles at AIDS Healthcare Foundation?
AHF's Healthcare roles typically require an active U.S. state license in the relevant discipline, whether that's nursing, pharmacy, social work, or another clinical field. For H-1B sponsorship, the position must qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field is normally the minimum entry requirement for the role itself, not just preferred.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for AHF Healthcare positions?
Timeline depends on visa type. H-1B petitions filed under the regular cap have an October 1 start date with an April 1 filing deadline, so planning needs to begin months in advance. TN status can be obtained at a port of entry with same-day processing for qualified Canadian nationals. F-1 OPT authorization through USCIS typically takes up to 90 days, so apply through your DSO well before your program end date.
