Align your credentials to ALPLA's processes
ALPLA operates blow-molding, injection-molding, and filling lines for chemical and consumer goods clients. Certifications in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or process validation directly relevant to plastics production will strengthen your profile before you apply.
Target plant locations with active hiring
ALPLA runs production facilities across multiple U.S. states. Cross-reference their open Manufacturing roles by location, since plants tied to major chemical or consumer goods contracts tend to have more sustained hiring and recurring sponsorship activity.
Confirm your role qualifies as a specialty occupation
USCIS requires H-1B roles to meet specialty occupation criteria. For manufacturing positions, this means demonstrating that a bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, or a related technical field is a genuine requirement for the specific job, not just a preference.
Understand ALPLA's PERM timeline for EB pathways
If you're targeting a Green Card through EB-2 or EB-3, PERM labor certification requires DOL to verify no qualified U.S. worker is available. Start this conversation with your hiring manager early, as the PERM process adds months before an I-140 can be filed.
Use Migrate Mate to find open manufacturing roles
Manufacturing openings at ALPLA don't always surface on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to browse visa-sponsoring manufacturing positions at ALPLA and filter by role type so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is an established part of the hiring process.
Prepare for E-Verify before your start date
ALPLA participates in E-Verify, which confirms your work authorization electronically after hire. Have your identity and work authorization documents organized in advance so the I-9 and E-Verify steps don't create delays when you're onboarding into a production schedule.

Find Manufacturing at ALPLA JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does ALPLA sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturing roles?
Yes, ALPLA sponsors H-1B visas for Manufacturing roles where the position qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS criteria. Roles in process engineering, quality assurance, and manufacturing engineering typically meet the degree requirement threshold. Production operator roles without a technical degree requirement generally do not qualify for H-1B sponsorship.
How do I apply for Manufacturing jobs at ALPLA?
Applications go through ALPLA's careers portal, where you can filter by function and location. Migrate Mate also indexes ALPLA's visa-sponsoring Manufacturing openings, letting you browse roles where international candidates have a clear path to sponsorship. Tailor your application to highlight technical credentials relevant to plastics, packaging, or process manufacturing specifically.
Which visa types does ALPLA commonly use for Manufacturing professionals?
ALPLA has sponsored both H-1B nonimmigrant visas and employment-based immigrant visas, including EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, for Manufacturing roles. H-1B is the most common entry point for technical positions. EB-3 is often used for skilled manufacturing professionals pursuing permanent residence once they've established tenure with the company.
What qualifications does ALPLA expect for sponsored Manufacturing roles?
For roles eligible for visa sponsorship, ALPLA typically requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, chemical engineering, or materials science. Hands-on experience with high-volume production environments, particularly plastics or packaging manufacturing, is a strong differentiator. Familiarity with lean methodologies, GMP standards, or ISO quality systems reinforces your candidacy for technical and supervisory manufacturing positions.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Manufacturing role at ALPLA?
For H-1B sponsorship, the standard timeline runs from the April lottery to an October 1 start date if your cap-subject petition is selected. Premium processing reduces USCIS adjudication to 15 business days but doesn't accelerate the lottery. If you're pursuing a Green Card through PERM, expect the full EB-2 or EB-3 process to take one to several years depending on your country of birth and priority date.
