Verify your license transfers across states
Mental Health licensure is state-specific, and Apple Tree Dental operates across multiple locations. Before applying, confirm your LCSW, LPC, or LMFT credential is valid or transferable in the state where the role is based. Unlicensed candidates are harder for employers to sponsor.
Clarify TN eligibility before your interview
Canadian and Mexican nationals in Mental Health roles may qualify for TN status under the psychologist or social worker categories. Confirm your specific job title maps to an approved TN occupation before your offer conversation, since mismatches can stall the process at the border.
Prepare your OPT documentation well before your start date
If you're on F-1 OPT, your EAD card must be valid on your first day. Apple Tree Dental's onboarding for clinical roles includes E-Verify, so any gap between your card expiration and a STEM OPT extension can trigger work authorization issues before you begin.
Target open roles across multiple Apple Tree Dental locations
Apple Tree Dental regularly posts Mental Health openings across different clinic sites. Broader geographic flexibility significantly increases your chances of finding a position where the hiring manager has prior experience navigating employer-sponsored visa filings for clinical staff.
Understand the PERM timeline for EB-2 and EB-3 roles
Apple Tree Dental sponsors immigrant visas, which means your employer would need to complete a PERM labor certification through DOL before filing your I-140. For Mental Health roles, this process can take 12 to 18 months before USCIS even begins reviewing your petition.
Use Migrate Mate to filter and track open positions
Mental Health openings at Apple Tree Dental span multiple job titles and clinic locations, making it easy to miss relevant postings. Use Migrate Mate to filter roles by visa type and stay current on new openings before they fill.

Does Apple Tree Dental sponsor H-1B visas for Mental Healths?
Apple Tree Dental's sponsorship activity for Mental Health roles is primarily through employment-based immigrant visa pathways like EB-2 and EB-3, as well as F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN. H-1B sponsorship for Mental Health positions in dental and community health settings is less common because many clinical roles require state licensure that complicates the specialty occupation determination USCIS uses to evaluate H-1B petitions.
How do I apply for Mental Health jobs at Apple Tree Dental?
Browse current Mental Health openings directly on Apple Tree Dental's careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type. When applying, clearly state your work authorization status and visa type in your application or cover letter. Clinical roles typically require licensure verification early in the hiring process, so have your credentials documentation ready before your first interview.
Which visa types does Apple Tree Dental commonly use for Mental Health roles?
Apple Tree Dental sponsors Mental Health candidates through F-1 OPT and F-1 CPT for recent graduates, TN status for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying mental health occupations, and EB-2 or EB-3 immigrant visa pathways for candidates pursuing permanent residence. If you hold a STEM-designated degree, a 24-month STEM OPT extension may give you additional runway while your employer pursues an immigrant visa petition.
What qualifications does Apple Tree Dental expect for Mental Health roles?
Most Mental Health positions at Apple Tree Dental require a master's degree or higher in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field, along with an active state license such as LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent. Roles embedded in dental or community health settings often favor candidates with experience in integrated care models or underserved patient populations. Unlicensed candidates may be considered for associate-level positions, but sponsorship eligibility is more limited.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Mental Health role at Apple Tree Dental?
Timeline depends on the visa pathway. TN status can be obtained at a port of entry or through consular processing within a few weeks of receiving a job offer. F-1 OPT requires your EAD to already be approved before your start date, so apply through your DSO at least 90 days in advance. EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship involves PERM labor certification through DOL followed by an I-140 petition with USCIS, a process that typically spans 18 months or more before you have an approved petition.
