Apple is where individual imaginations gather together, committing to the values that lead to great work. Every new product we build, service we create, or Apple Store experience we deliver is the result of us making each other’s ideas stronger. That happens because every one of us shares a belief that we can make something wonderful and share it with the world, changing lives for the better. It’s the diversity of our people and their thinking that inspires the innovation that runs through everything we do. When we bring everybody in, we can do the best work of our lives. Here, you’ll do more than join something - you’ll add something.
The Applied Sensing & Health team builds the pipelines and infrastructure that turn raw motion data from Apple devices into insights that help users improve their health. Every time someone exercises or moves with their device, engineers and scientists on this team are behind the systems that capture, validate, and make sense of that data at scale. As a member of our dynamic group, you'll build and monitor the data pipelines that power our products, run large-scale analyses that uncover how people actually use and benefit from them, and help shape upcoming products that delight and inspire millions of Apple customers every day. Join our team and enrich lives by shipping software and data systems that motivate fitness goals, improve health, and enhance the way customers interact with our products.
Description
In this role, you will design and build the data infrastructure that powers our next generation of Health and Fitness features - from ingesting raw sensor data to the platforms and tools that turn it into research insight. This includes architecting scalable data pipelines, ensuring user study data quality, gathering algorithm performance insights, and validating the software implementation. Key responsibilities of this role are:
-
Design and develop scalable, parallelized data pipelines to process and transform complex, time-series health data captured from consumer-grade sensors
-
Build tools and dashboards to visualize data and support data exploration, analysis, and research insights.
-
Collaborate with study stakeholders to gather requirements and contribute to the study design, tooling development, and data quality monitoring processes.
-
Design and run analytics to validate algorithm simulation output against ground truth, and build automated QA metrics to track feature performance over time
-
Work closely with cross-functional teams including Software, Algorithms, and EPM to support design, integration, testing, and deployment of the health software.
Minimum Qualifications
BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 3 years of industry experience building and maintaining large-scale data processing or simulation pipelines, or performing large-scale data analysis.
Strong programming skills in Python, with a focus on writing clean, maintainable, and high-performance code.
Familiarity with SQL for querying, transforming, and analyzing structured data.
Hands-on experience with distributed computing frameworks such as Apache Spark.
Comfort leveraging AI tools to accelerate problem-solving and development.
Preferred Qualifications
Applied machine learning experience, including building models on large datasets
Experience working with sensor data, time-series data, or healthcare datasets
Experience in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
Comfort working in Linux environments, including scripting, navigation, and basic troubleshooting
Exposure to clinical studies, FDA validation processes, or regulated health environments
Experience building iOS apps; familiarity with C++ is a plus
Self-directed and self-motivated, with experience producing architecture and design documents
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, including translating requirements from technical and non-technical partners into practical engineering tasks

Frame your analytics work around product impact
Apple's Analytics Manager roles sit close to product and engineering teams. When preparing your resume and portfolio, show how your work influenced decisions on features, supply chain, or customer behavior, not just how you built dashboards.
Target roles aligned with your visa category
Apple sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT across analytics functions. If you're on OPT, prioritize applying before your STEM OPT extension kicks in so your employer of record timeline aligns with Apple's onboarding cycle.
Verify Apple's LCA filings on the DOL database
Before your interview, search the DOL's OFLC disclosure data for Apple's Labor Condition Application filings under analytics job titles. This tells you which work locations and prevailing wage levels Apple has certified for roles like yours.
Prepare for the H-1B cap timing early
If you need H-1B sponsorship, Apple must register you in the March lottery for an October 1 start date. Align your offer negotiation and start date expectations to this USCIS-defined annual cycle so neither side is caught off-guard.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Analytics Manager roles at Apple with confirmed sponsorship
Search Migrate Mate to filter Apple's Analytics Manager openings by visa type. It surfaces roles where sponsorship is actively offered, saving you from applying to positions that won't support your immigration status.
Clarify sponsorship scope before signing your offer
Apple's immigration team handles visa filings centrally, but coverage varies by role level and business unit. Before signing, confirm in writing whether your offer includes Green Card sponsorship through PERM, not just initial visa filing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Apple sponsor H-1B visas for Analytics Managers?
Yes, Apple sponsors H-1B visas for Analytics Manager roles. Apple participates in the annual H-1B cap lottery, which USCIS runs each March for an October 1 start date, so your offer timeline needs to account for that cycle. Apple also sponsors H-1B1 visas for Chilean and Singaporean nationals and E-3 visas for Australian citizens, which bypass the lottery entirely.
How do I apply for Analytics Manager jobs at Apple?
Apply directly through Apple's careers site at jobs.apple.com, searching for Analytics Manager or related titles like Senior Analytics Manager or Business Analytics Lead. Apple's process typically involves a recruiter screen, a case-style analytics exercise, and multiple panel interviews. You can also browse verified sponsorship-eligible openings on Migrate Mate, which filters Apple roles by visa type so you only see positions relevant to your situation.
Which visa types does Apple commonly use for Analytics Manager roles?
Apple sponsors H-1B, H-1B1 visa, E-3, TN visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and EB-2 or EB-3 immigrant visas for analytics functions. For ongoing full-time Analytics Manager roles, H-1B is the most common nonimmigrant path for most nationalities. Australian citizens often use the E-3, which has no lottery and renews indefinitely. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying analytics specialties may qualify for TN visa status.
What qualifications does Apple expect for Analytics Manager roles?
Apple's Analytics Manager roles typically require a bachelor's degree at minimum in statistics, computer science, economics, or a related quantitative field, with a master's degree preferred for senior-level positions. You'll need hands-on experience with SQL and at least one analytics or BI platform. Apple places strong weight on cross-functional communication skills, since Analytics Managers regularly present findings to product and executive stakeholders.
How long does it take for Apple to process visa sponsorship for a new Analytics Manager hire?
Timeline depends on visa type. E-3 and TN sponsorship can move quickly, sometimes within weeks of an offer, since neither requires USCIS petition approval before you start. H-1B sponsorship follows USCIS processing timelines, which currently run several months for standard service. Apple uses premium processing in some cases, which reduces USCIS adjudication to 15 business days, though that doesn't speed up the LCA certification step with DOL.
