Frame your PM portfolio around hardware-software integration
Apple's TPM hiring panel looks for candidates who can speak to shipping products across both silicon and software layers. Document cross-functional work that touches firmware, OS integration, or supply chain coordination, not just roadmap ownership.
Target Apple's hardware product lines directly
Roles tied to iPhone, Mac, and Apple Silicon teams have distinct technical depth requirements. Search Apple's careers site by product group and tailor your application to the specific hardware ecosystem, since generalist PM profiles rarely advance past initial screening.
Align your visa type to Apple's sponsorship patterns early
Apple sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and H-1B1 visas for this role. If you're Australian or Canadian, an E-3 or TN avoids the H-1B lottery entirely. Confirm your eligible categories with your recruiting contact before the offer stage to avoid timeline surprises.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open Technical Product Manager roles at Apple
Tracking which Apple TPM postings are actively sponsoring across visa categories takes time. Migrate Mate filters roles by visa type and employer, so you can surface the right openings and move faster when a sponsored position matches your background.

Find Technical Product Manager at Apple JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Apple sponsor H-1B visas for Technical Product Managers?
Yes, Apple sponsors H-1B visas for Technical Product Manager roles. The company files both cap-subject and cap-exempt petitions depending on the candidate's situation. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, Apple can file a transfer petition at any point in the year without waiting for the April lottery window.
How do I apply for Technical Product Manager jobs at Apple?
Applications go through Apple's careers site at apple.com/careers. TPM roles at Apple are competitive, so tailor your resume to the specific product area listed in the job description. Roles tied to hardware lines like Apple Silicon or iPhone require evidence of cross-functional technical delivery. Migrate Mate also surfaces sponsored TPM openings at Apple, filtered by visa type, so you can identify relevant postings without manually combing through hundreds of listings.
Which visa types does Apple commonly use for Technical Product Manager roles?
Apple sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and employment-based Green Cards including EB-2 and EB-3 for TPM roles. Australian nationals benefit most from the E-3, which has no lottery and allows two-year renewable status. Canadian and Mexican nationals on TN status are another common pathway. For longer-term sponsorship, Apple initiates PERM labor certification for Green Card sponsorship after a candidate is established in the role.
What qualifications does Apple expect for Technical Product Manager roles?
Most Apple TPM roles require a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a closely related field, and several years of experience shipping hardware or hardware-adjacent software products. Experience coordinating across silicon design, manufacturing, and software teams carries significant weight. An advanced degree can strengthen an EB-2 sponsorship path later, but hands-on delivery track record is the primary differentiator in Apple's hiring process.
How do I think about timing if Apple offers me sponsorship?
Timeline depends heavily on which visa category applies to you. E-3 and TN petitions can be processed quickly, often within weeks. Cap-subject H-1B cases require filing in April for an October start, which can mean a six-month gap between offer and day one. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship typically takes one to two years from initiation. Clarify your category and Apple's expected process timeline with your recruiter and a qualified immigration attorney before accepting an offer.
