Tips for Finding Technical Product Manager Jobs at Roblox
Frame your portfolio around platform-scale impact
Roblox TPM roles sit at the intersection of developer tooling, UGC infrastructure, and live services. Tailor your case studies to show you've driven roadmap decisions affecting large, concurrent user bases, not just shipped features.
Identify open roles through Migrate Mate's job board
Search Migrate Mate to filter Roblox Technical Product Manager openings by the visa type your status requires. This surfaces active roles already screened for sponsorship, saving time you'd otherwise spend cold-applying and confirming eligibility.
Clarify your visa category during the recruiter screen
Roblox sponsors multiple nonimmigrant categories including H-1B, E-3, TN, and H-1B1 visa. Naming your specific category early lets recruiters loop in immigration counsel sooner and avoids late-stage delays when an offer is already on the table.
Prepare for a cross-functional technical interview loop
Roblox TPM interviews test product sense, technical depth on distributed systems, and alignment with engineering partners. Expect rounds with engineers and PMs across platform teams, so prepare to discuss API design tradeoffs and data pipeline decisions alongside standard product cases.
Align your offer timeline with H-1B cap deadlines
If you need a cap-subject H-1B, USCIS opens registration in March for an October 1 start. An offer signed in Q1 or Q2 gives Roblox's legal team enough runway to register, file, and handle any RFE before your current status expires.
Verify your degree field maps to a specialty occupation
TPM roles at Roblox typically require a degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline. A business or management degree alone can trigger an RFE from USCIS, so document any supplemental technical coursework or certifications in your petition evidence.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Roblox sponsor H-1B visas for Technical Product Managers?
Yes, Roblox sponsors H-1B visas for Technical Product Manager roles. The company has a consistent sponsorship track record for this function and works with immigration counsel to support candidates through the cap registration and petition process. If you're subject to the annual lottery, timing your offer around the March USCIS registration window is important.
Which visa types does Roblox commonly sponsor for Technical Product Managers?
Roblox sponsors several nonimmigrant categories for TPM roles, including H-1B, H-1B1 visa for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, E-3 visa for Australian citizens, TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and F-1 OPT. The company also supports immigrant visa pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for employees pursuing a Green Card after establishing tenure.
How do I apply for Technical Product Manager jobs at Roblox?
Start by browsing current openings on Migrate Mate, which lists Roblox TPM roles filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility. Once you identify a match, apply through Roblox's careers portal with a resume that highlights platform-scale product work and technical depth. Confirm your visa category needs with the recruiter during the initial screen before progressing to the full interview loop.
What qualifications does Roblox expect for Technical Product Manager roles?
Roblox generally expects a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, along with hands-on experience driving roadmaps for large-scale consumer or developer platforms. Familiarity with distributed systems, data infrastructure, or real-time services is a common differentiator given Roblox's platform architecture and creator-focused product surface.
How do I time my application if my OPT or current status is expiring soon?
If you're on F-1 OPT, you have a 60-day grace period after your end date, but you can't work during it. Target Roblox roles at least four to six months before your OPT expires so there's runway for the full interview loop, offer negotiation, and petition filing. STEM OPT extensions give you up to 24 additional months if your degree qualifies, which meaningfully widens your window for a cap-subject H-1B transition.
