Arbin Instruments is looking for a competent Shipping and receiving technician to oversee and facilitate the supply chain operations of our company. You will be the one to coordinate personnel and processes to achieve the effective distribution of goods.
A great asset for a Shipping and receiving technician is their communication and negotiation skills. They are also well-versed in supply management principles and practices. The ideal candidate will have great record-keeping abilities, good quality control sense, and a customer-oriented approach.
The goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Domestic and International Shipping, Import, and Purchasing related work
- Review incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations
- Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items and staff on hand to manage the shipments
- Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports
- Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling
- Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems
- Troubleshoot shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them
- Perform receiving quality control, ensure correct quantities and good quality of parts are received
- Make sure parts received are properly placed in the correct bins or handed to the correct personnel
- Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction
- Help to unload ocean/air shipments
- Other assigned duties (after training and qualifying), including (not limited to) Letter of credit documents reviewing, purchasing, etc.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience as logistics clerk
- Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
- Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must live in or willing to relocate the local BCS area
