Document Trade Certifications Before Applying
Gather any ASE certifications, HVAC licenses, or equipment maintenance credentials before submitting applications. Asbury's dealership environments require verifiable technical qualifications, and having organized documentation speeds up the employer's PERM-based sponsorship assessment significantly.
Target Multi-Location Dealership Groups Strategically
Asbury operates dozens of dealerships across multiple states, so facilities maintenance needs vary by region. Focus your applications on high-volume markets like Georgia and Florida, where Asbury has a concentrated presence and ongoing operational staffing requirements.
Understand EB-3 as Your Most Likely Pathway
Maintenance roles at automotive groups typically fall under EB-3 skilled worker sponsorship rather than EB-2. Confirm with the hiring team early whether your specific role classification qualifies, since the PERM labor certification process timeline can run 12 to 18 months.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Open Maintenance Roles
Search Migrate Mate to filter Asbury Automotive Group maintenance openings by location and visa sponsorship type. It surfaces roles from employers with verified sponsorship track records, saving you time spent on positions that won't support your immigration needs.
Raise Sponsorship Willingness During the Offer Stage
Wait until you have demonstrated technical fit before raising visa sponsorship. During the offer conversation, ask specifically whether the facility manager or HR has coordinated with immigration counsel before, since dealership-level staff may need to escalate the question to corporate.
Verify Your Work Authorization Status Matches the Role
Asbury participates in E-Verify, so your work authorization documents must be current and consistent before your start date. If you're on OPT or a prior employer-sponsored status, confirm your authorized period covers the projected PERM filing and approval timeline.

Find Maintenance at Asbury Automotive Group JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Asbury Automotive Group sponsor H-1B visas for Maintenances?
Asbury Automotive Group's sponsorship activity for maintenance roles is concentrated in employment-based Green Card categories rather than H-1B visas. Maintenance positions are generally classified as skilled trades, which align more naturally with EB-3 sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process. If you're currently on H-1B status and targeting a maintenance role, discuss how your visa status interacts with the sponsorship pathway early in the process.
Which visa types are commonly used for Maintenance roles at Asbury Automotive Group?
Employment-based Green Card sponsorship, specifically EB-2 and EB-3 categories, is the primary pathway for maintenance professionals at Asbury Automotive Group. EB-3 is the more common fit for skilled trades and facilities roles. Both require PERM labor certification through the DOL, where Asbury must demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers are available for the position before sponsoring a foreign national.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Maintenance roles at Asbury Automotive Group?
Asbury's dealership maintenance roles typically require hands-on experience in facilities upkeep, mechanical systems, or automotive service equipment. ASE certifications, HVAC credentials, or licensed trade qualifications strengthen your application considerably. Multi-site dealership groups like Asbury often prioritize candidates who can work independently across different facility types, so demonstrated experience in commercial or automotive environments carries real weight.
How do I apply for Maintenance jobs at Asbury Automotive Group?
You can browse and apply for Maintenance positions at Asbury Automotive Group through Migrate Mate, which lists open roles filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight trade certifications and facility-specific experience relevant to automotive dealership environments. Asbury uses E-Verify, so be prepared to present valid work authorization documentation promptly after receiving an offer.
How do I plan my timeline around Asbury Automotive Group's sponsorship process?
PERM labor certification through the DOL is the first major step and can take 12 to 18 months depending on audit risk and filing volume. After PERM approval, the I-140 immigrant petition is filed with USCIS, which adds several months. Factor in your current visa status and authorized stay period when evaluating whether the timeline is workable before accepting an offer.
