Align your credentials to dealer group operations
Asbury runs a multi-brand dealership network, so your resume should tie prior consulting work to automotive retail systems like CDK or Reynolds and Reynolds. Vague enterprise consulting experience is harder to map to a specialty occupation petition.
Target roles tied to technology rollouts
Asbury's Professional Services openings often support platform implementations across its stores. Positions with a clear technology or systems component have a stronger specialty occupation argument under USCIS criteria, which matters when your employer files the I-129.
Understand where EB-2 and EB-3 fit your timeline
Asbury has sponsored both EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for this function. If your degree and experience meet EB-2 standards, push for that category. EB-3 is more accessible but typically carries a longer priority date queue depending on your country of birth.
Ask recruiters about PERM timing early
PERM labor certification is the first formal step in Asbury's Green Card process for this role. DOL processing currently runs many months, so asking about PERM initiation timelines during offer negotiations helps you plan your status bridge, especially if you're on H-1B.
Research open Professional Services Consultant listings through Migrate Mate
Filter active Professional Services Consultant openings at Asbury Automotive Group on Migrate Mate. It surfaces roles by sponsorship type, so you can prioritize positions where employment-based sponsorship is already part of the hiring profile.
Prepare a degree equivalency letter before applying
If your computer science or business degree is from a three-year international program, obtain a credential evaluation from a NACES-member evaluator before your interview. USCIS scrutinizes degree equivalency for specialty occupation determinations, and having documentation ready speeds up the I-129 process.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Asbury Automotive Group sponsor H-1B visas for Professional Services Consultants?
Asbury Automotive Group's primary sponsorship pathway for Professional Services Consultants is employment-based Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3, not H-1B visa transfers. If you're already on an H-1B and seeking a transfer, it's worth confirming directly with Asbury's HR team whether they'll file a cap-exempt H-1B petition for this specific role.
How do I apply for Professional Services Consultant jobs at Asbury Automotive Group?
You can browse and apply for Professional Services Consultant openings at Asbury Automotive Group through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm sponsorship eligibility before applying. Applications typically go through Asbury's careers portal, where you'll submit a resume and may be screened for relevant automotive or enterprise consulting experience.
Which visa types are commonly used for Professional Services Consultant roles at Asbury Automotive Group?
Asbury Automotive Group has sponsored employment-based immigrant visas for this function, with EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card categories being the documented pathways. EB-2 applies if you hold an advanced degree or can demonstrate exceptional ability. EB-3 covers professionals with a relevant bachelor's degree. Both require PERM labor certification filed with the DOL before USCIS can adjudicate the I-140 petition.
What qualifications does Asbury Automotive Group expect for a Professional Services Consultant?
Asbury typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as information technology, business administration, or a related discipline, combined with hands-on consulting or implementation experience. Familiarity with automotive dealership management systems or enterprise software platforms used in multi-location retail environments strengthens your candidacy considerably for sponsored positions.
How long does the sponsorship process take for this role at Asbury Automotive Group?
The Green Card timeline for an EB-2 or EB-3 sponsored role at Asbury typically spans one to three years or longer depending on your country of birth and current priority date queues. PERM labor certification with the DOL alone can take six months to a year. Applicants from India or China face extended waits due to per-country backlogs, so beginning the process as early as possible is critical.
