Frame your credentials around dealership operations
Asbury evaluates Consultants on their ability to improve dealership-level performance, not just general business consulting. Tailor your resume to highlight experience with retail operations, process standardization, or automotive service workflows before you apply.
Target roles that align with EB-2 eligibility
Asbury has sponsored Consultants through EB-2, which requires an advanced degree or equivalent. Confirm your master's degree or bachelor's plus progressive experience meets DOL's standard before the offer stage, so the petition isn't delayed by credential gaps.
Distinguish yourself across Asbury's regional footprint
Asbury operates dealerships across multiple states, and Consultant openings vary by region. Specifying geographic flexibility in your application signals you can fill operational gaps where the business need is strongest, which can accelerate hiring decisions.
Clarify sponsorship intent before the final interview round
Asbury's HR process for Consultants typically moves through multiple interview stages. Raise your visa sponsorship requirement directly with the recruiter after the first round, not during an offer call, so the legal team has time to assess feasibility without stalling your timeline.
Understand the PERM timeline before accepting an offer
EB-3 sponsorship requires PERM labor certification through DOL, which takes 12 to 18 months on average. Factor this into your start date and current visa status. If you're on OPT or a cap-gap extension, map your authorization window against the PERM timeline before signing.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open Consultant roles
Asbury posts Consultant openings across multiple job boards, but filtering for sponsorship-eligible roles takes time. Use Migrate Mate to surface Asbury positions that match your visa type and target function, so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is already a confirmed possibility.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Asbury Automotive Group sponsor H-1B visas for Consultants?
Asbury Automotive Group's documented sponsorship activity for Consultant roles is concentrated in the EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card categories rather than H-1B visa. If you're currently on H-1B status through another employer, Asbury could potentially file an H-1B transfer, but you should confirm sponsorship scope directly with their HR or legal team during the offer process.
Which visa types are commonly used for Consultant roles at Asbury Automotive Group?
Asbury's sponsorship history for Consultant positions points primarily to employment-based Green Card pathways, specifically EB-2 for roles requiring advanced degrees and EB-3 for positions filled through PERM labor certification. These are immigrant visa categories, not temporary work visas, so the sponsorship process is longer but leads to permanent residence rather than a time-limited status.
What qualifications and experience does Asbury Automotive Group expect for Consultant roles?
Asbury typically looks for Consultants with a background in business operations, dealership management, process improvement, or automotive retail strategy. A bachelor's degree is generally the floor, with EB-2 sponsorship requiring an advanced degree or demonstrated equivalent experience. Familiarity with automotive retail metrics, F&I operations, or service department performance strengthens your candidacy significantly.
How do I apply for Consultant jobs at Asbury Automotive Group?
You can browse and apply for Consultant roles at Asbury directly through their careers site or through Migrate Mate, which filters open positions by visa sponsorship eligibility. When applying, tailor your materials to Asbury's dealership operations context and disclose your sponsorship need early in the process so the right internal stakeholders are looped in before an offer is extended.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Consultant role at Asbury Automotive Group?
For EB-3 sponsorship, the PERM labor certification process alone takes 12 to 18 months through DOL, followed by I-140 petition filing with USCIS and, depending on your country of birth, potentially a multi-year wait for a visa number to become available. EB-2 follows a similar structure but may allow premium processing for the I-140 stage. Plan your current work authorization timeline around these windows before accepting an offer.
