Align your credentials with automotive service engineering
Asbury operates dealerships, not factories, so Manufacturing Engineers here focus on facility processes, equipment maintenance, and operational efficiency. Frame your resume around process improvement, lean methodology, or facilities engineering rather than assembly line production experience.
Research Asbury's dealership footprint before applying
Asbury's Manufacturing Engineer openings are distributed across regional dealership groups nationwide. Identify which markets have active postings and tailor your applications to those locations, since sponsorship decisions are often made at the regional operational level.
Ask directly about Green Card sponsorship during interviews
Asbury has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for engineering roles, but not every hiring manager leads with that information. Ask specifically whether the role is eligible for PERM-based sponsorship and at what point in employment that process typically begins.
Prepare for PERM's prevailing wage documentation early
The PERM labor certification requires DOL to certify that your offered wage meets the prevailing wage for your role and location. Request the job description and salary range before your offer stage so you can verify alignment and avoid delays after signing.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Manufacturing Engineer roles at Asbury by sponsorship type
Not all of Asbury's open Manufacturing Engineer positions are tied to active sponsorship pipelines. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles where EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship is confirmed, so you target positions with a realistic path to a Green Card.
Build a credentials file ready for I-140 petition review
For EB-3 sponsorship, USCIS reviews your degree, transcripts, and work history as part of the I-140 immigrant petition. Gather certified copies of your engineering degree, translated if issued outside the U.S., and document prior manufacturing or process engineering roles in detail before your offer converts to a filing.

Find Manufacturing Engineer at Asbury Automotive Group JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Asbury Automotive Group sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturing Engineers?
Asbury Automotive Group's sponsorship activity for Manufacturing Engineer roles has been focused on employment-based Green Card pathways, specifically EB-2 and EB-3 classifications, rather than H-1B nonimmigrant visas. If you're currently on H-1B status with another employer, you'd typically need to explore a transfer or rely on Asbury initiating a new H-1B cap-exempt petition, which is less common at automotive retail companies.
How do I apply for Manufacturing Engineer jobs at Asbury Automotive Group?
Applications go through Asbury's careers portal, where Manufacturing Engineer roles are listed by region and dealership group. You can also find and filter Asbury's sponsored engineering roles directly on Migrate Mate, which lets you confirm sponsorship eligibility before investing time in the full application. Tailor your resume to dealership operations and process engineering, not traditional factory manufacturing, since that's where Asbury's engineering work is concentrated.
Which visa types does Asbury Automotive Group use to sponsor Manufacturing Engineers?
Asbury's sponsorship track record for Manufacturing Engineers centers on EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based Green Card categories. EB-3 applies to roles requiring a bachelor's degree in engineering, while EB-2 is available if the position requires an advanced degree or you can demonstrate exceptional ability. Both require PERM labor certification through the DOL before USCIS receives the I-140 immigrant petition.
What qualifications does Asbury Automotive Group expect from Manufacturing Engineer candidates?
Asbury typically looks for a bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering, combined with hands-on experience in process improvement, equipment maintenance, or facilities operations. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and project management in a service or retail environment is a practical advantage. Roles vary by region, so some positions emphasize capital project management while others focus on day-to-day operational efficiency across dealership facilities.
How long does the Green Card sponsorship process take for Manufacturing Engineers at Asbury?
The timeline from offer to Green Card approval involves three major stages: PERM labor certification with the DOL (typically six months to over a year), I-140 petition approval through USCIS, and finally adjustment of status or consular processing. For applicants born in India, priority date backlogs in the EB-2 and EB-3 categories can extend the total timeline significantly beyond the filing stages themselves. Starting the PERM process as early as your employer allows is the most effective way to minimize wait time.
