Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Software Engineer Jobs at Axon Jobs
Align your resume to Axon's tech stack
Axon's engineering teams work across IoT firmware, cloud-native services, and real-time video pipelines. Tailoring your resume to reflect experience with distributed systems or device software signals direct fit before any recruiter conversation begins.
Verify Axon's E-Verify enrollment before applying
Sponsored hires require employers to confirm work authorization through E-Verify. Confirming Axon's active enrollment gives you confidence their HR and legal teams are already set up to process H-1B transfers or new petitions without internal delays.
Target roles with hardware-software integration experience
Axon builds physical devices and the software ecosystems around them. Software Engineer openings tied to device firmware or edge computing are consistently harder to fill locally, which makes employers more willing to move quickly on sponsorship for qualified international candidates.
Clarify sponsorship timing in the first recruiter screen
Ask directly whether the role supports H-1B transfer or new cap-subject filing. Knowing this early prevents you from advancing through multiple interview rounds only to discover the team's timeline doesn't align with USCIS processing windows or the April lottery period.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Software Engineer roles at Axon
Tracking which Axon engineering roles are actively open and sponsor-verified saves significant research time. Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for H-1B-sponsoring employers in this space so you're applying to confirmed opportunities, not guessing from generic job boards.
Build your H-1B petition documentation before the offer stage
Gather your degree transcripts, foreign credential evaluation, and employment verification letters before you receive an offer. Having these ready shortens the time between offer acceptance and your employer's attorney filing the I-129 petition with USCIS.

Find Software Engineer at Axon JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Axon sponsor H-1B visas for Software Engineers?
Yes, Axon sponsors H-1B visas for Software Engineer roles. The company has a history of filing H-1B petitions for engineering positions, particularly those requiring specialized technical skills in areas like cloud infrastructure, embedded systems, and real-time data processing. Confirming sponsorship availability for a specific role during your recruiter screen is always the right move.
How do I apply for Software Engineer jobs at Axon?
You can find and apply to open Software Engineer roles at Axon through their careers site or through Migrate Mate, which surfaces sponsor-verified engineering openings so you can focus on confirmed opportunities. When applying, highlight technical experience relevant to Axon's hardware-software ecosystem. Following up directly with a recruiter after submitting your application can also improve response rates.
Which visa types are commonly used for Software Engineer roles at Axon?
H-1B is the primary visa category Axon uses for sponsoring Software Engineers. Software Engineer roles at Axon typically qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS criteria, since they require at minimum a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. If you're already in the U.S. on a valid status such as F-1 OPT or another employer's H-1B, a transfer or change of status petition may be possible.
What qualifications and experience does Axon expect for Software Engineer roles?
Axon's Software Engineer openings generally require a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related discipline. Beyond the degree, practical experience with distributed systems, cloud platforms, or embedded software development is consistently valued. Roles closer to Axon's device and sensor products often look for firmware or low-level systems experience, while platform-side roles emphasize backend and data engineering skills.
How do I time my H-1B filing if I receive an offer from Axon?
If you're applying for a new cap-subject H-1B, USCIS opens registration each March for an October 1 start date. Receiving an offer well before March gives Axon's legal team time to prepare and submit your registration. If you're transferring an existing H-1B, Axon can file a portability petition at any point, and you can begin work once the receipt notice is issued.
