Test Center Administrator
Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following position: Test Center Administrator in the Academic Testing Center.
To provide administrative and operational support and back up to the Academic Testing Center (ATC). Providing a broad spectrum of testing services to both the University and communities in a convenient, secure, and professional environment.

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent GED and two (2) years experience in a professional office setting required. Six (6) months experience in standardized testing, working with scheduling systems, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications for administering exams from Professional testing companies preferred, including ATI/TEAS, ETS/Prometric, Pearson Vue, PSI, PAN, Kryterion, Meazure Learning, Prov and CLEP.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Academic Testing Center daily operations:
- Ensures compliance of all testing companies’ regulations, policies, and procedures by testing candidates
- Exam administration, including identification checks, paperwork and exam administrations
- Monitoring simultaneous activities and being prepared to take action if any issue (technical or security) arises
- Review operational procedures periodically
- Maintains up to date knowledge of exam and company policies/procedures
Customer Service:
- Provides exceptional customer service to all constituents, including but not limited to, faculty, staff, students, visitors and the community at large via in person, phone, and email
- Handles all constituent needs in a professional, timely and positive manner
Part time staff oversights:
- Provides assistance in training, mentoring and proctoring by ATC part-time Staff
- Ensure testing security, check-in protocols and all testing company regulations are adhered to by all staff
- Acts as lead TCA in absence of ATC Director and Assistant Director
Time-limited position with benefits. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Normal work hours vary Monday through Saturday. The position will serve 37.5 hours/week. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.

Requires handling confidential materials and personal information; Requires handling multiple concurrent tasks with constant interruptions. Must be able to quickly prioritize tasks; Must be able to understand direction/instructions, written and spoken, and adhere to established procedures of the office and testing sponsors and companies; Must be adaptable in the face of workplace stressors such as customer service and high stress situations, maintaining security requirements, prioritizing competing tasks, technical issues with software and hardware, maintaining confidentiality of candidate and exam information; Able to meet company and exam sponsor requirements and maintain certifications for administration of exams. Must also stay up to date with policies and procedures to have knowledge on demand from all testing companies and exam sponsors; Requires speaking in great frequency throughout the entire day. Must be able to clearly communicate (verbally) with customers instructions, rules and respond to inquiries; Must be able to clearly communicate (written) with company representatives and customers. Needs to be able to clearly and concisely write reports to document any incidents that occur throughout a testing session; Requires cleaning and sanitizing workstations, headsets, exam supplements, and use of cleaning products; Must be able to remain stationary for long periods of time to monitor candidates via security cameras; Must be able to move around the office and through rooms to perform walk-thru observations; Must be able to transport and replace computer equipment to and from testing station if necessary to remove/install due to technical/hardware issue. Including crawling under desks for cables and power; Requires the use of computer and peripheral equipment, copier, scanner, telephone, printers, security systems, metal detector wand and shredder.
