The Opportunity
The Colorado School of Mines, a public R1 research university focused on applied science and engineering, is excited to announce a Tenure Track Associate Professor faculty position in Power Electronics at the department of Electrical Engineering.

This position is anticipated to begin in August 2026. Qualified candidates with research specialization in power electronics and advanced energy systems are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
- Develop a strong active externally funded research program that leads to scholarly publications.
- Develop and deliver course materials to undergraduate and graduate students in traditional, hybrid, and online platforms demonstrating teaching excellence and high-quality and high impact teaching pedagogy.
- Supervise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
- Establish and/or maintain a quality publication record.
- Contribute both institutionally and professionally through active service.
- Collaborate across campus and contribute to service in the areas of Power Electronics Systems and Advanced Energy Systems.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. in a closely related discipline from an accredited program by the time the appointment begins.
- Experience in academic, research lab, and/or industry and notable accomplishments in a related field.
- Evidence or potential of interdisciplinary collaboration or engagement with power electronics.
- Established and currently funded program at the Associate Professor level with clear potential for continuance, and a proven track record of success in teaching, research, and service.

Associate Professor: $119,863 - $129,000
