ABOUT THE ROLE
Cornelis Networks is seeking a results-driven Director of Product Management – Storage Ecosystem. The primary focus of this role is to drive the qualification and technical support of Cornelis networking products with global storage providers. You will ensure that Cornelis NIC and Switch design wins are never gated by end-customer storage requirements. By working directly with storage vendors to validate our products and secure listing as a compatible network provider, you will enable the delivery of high-performing, scalable end-to-end solutions. This role operates in an AI-enabled product management environment, utilizing modern tools to scale impact, accelerate insight, and improve execution velocity.
Key Responsibilities

- Value Proposition Development: Develop strong product value propositions that highlight the performance benefits of coupling Cornelis networking with specific storage offerings to ensure clear market differentiation.
- Technical Validation & Engineering Engagement
- Technical Relationship Management: Establish and maintain deep technical relationships with targeted storage providers to drive the validation and qualification of Cornelis NICs and switches within their ecosystems.
- Architectural Collaboration: Partner with Cornelis architects and systems engineers to translate storage workload requirements into actionable hardware PRDs and technical checklists.
- Next-Gen Architecture Influence: Lead technical engagement on next-generation storage and networking system architectures to ensure Cornelis remains at the forefront of AI and HPC innovation.
Product Qualification & Certification Lifecycle:
- Certification Ownership: Own the end-to-end process of achieving official product qualification, ensuring Cornelis is listed as a compatible network provider on partner websites and reference architectures.
- Phase-Gate Governance: Develop and drive product phase-gate review materials that capture the status of storage validation, qualification milestones, and roadmap date changes.
- Source of Truth: Maintain the "source of truth" for storage-related roadmap commitments to manage market expectations and internal investment priorities.
Strategic GTM & Sales Integration:
- GTM Activation: Activate Go-To-Market activities with storage partners, including co-selling initiatives, integrated sales collateral, and joint marketing efforts.
- Sales Enablement: Produce technical checklists, sales training, and customer-ready integration guides to accelerate the adoption of end-to-end networking and storage solutions.
- Revenue Success: Collaborate with Sales and Business Development teams to drive OEM design wins and ensure pipeline opportunities are not lost due to a lack of storage partner support.
Partnership Governance & Executive Alignment:
- Executive Leadership Alignment: Establish and lead regular executive leadership alignment meetings between Cornelis and storage partners to ensure resources and investment priorities are synchronized.
- Business Case Optimization: Build and improve hardware-focused business cases (including price-performance and TCO models) to influence pricing and partnership decisions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Target engineering and hardware roles
Cornelis Networks builds high-speed interconnect technology, so sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical disciplines. Focus your application on roles in chip design, firmware, systems engineering, or network architecture where your specialized skills align with the company's core product work.
Leverage F-1 OPT or CPT as an entry point
Cornelis Networks sponsors both F-1 OPT and CPT, which means internships and early-career roles can serve as a stepping stone. Getting a foot in the door through a CPT internship or OPT position is a realistic path toward longer-term H-1B sponsorship.
Understand the H-1B lottery timeline before applying
H-1B registration opens in March and cap-subject petitions take effect October 1. If you're targeting Cornelis Networks for H-1B sponsorship, time your application to give HR enough runway to file before the annual deadline, ideally securing an offer by late winter.
Demonstrate deep expertise in interconnect or semiconductor technology
Cornelis Networks operates in a highly specialized hardware niche. Applications that highlight hands-on experience with high-performance computing, InfiniBand, or low-latency networking technology stand out more than generalist profiles, and are more likely to prompt the company to pursue sponsorship.
Filter for verified sponsors before you apply
Not every company listing a hardware role will sponsor visas. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and focus your energy on companies like Cornelis Networks that have a confirmed track record of supporting international candidates.
Ask about sponsorship early but frame it as logistics
In Electronics & Hardware, hiring managers expect technical candidates to raise visa questions. Bring it up after demonstrating your qualifications, framing it as an administrative step rather than a burden. Companies with active sponsorship programs are generally prepared for this conversation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Cornelis Networks sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Cornelis Networks sponsors H-1B visas. The company operates in the specialized Electronics & Hardware sector and has used H-1B sponsorship to hire international talent in technical roles. Given its focus on high-performance interconnect technology, sponsorship tends to support engineering and product development positions where deep domain expertise is required.
What visa types does Cornelis Networks sponsor?
Cornelis Networks sponsors H-1B visas for full-time roles, along with F-1 OPT and F-1 CPT for students and recent graduates. This range of visa support makes it accessible to international candidates at different career stages, from internships through to permanent positions in hardware engineering and related technical disciplines.
What types of roles at Cornelis Networks are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Cornelis Networks is concentrated in technical and engineering functions. Roles in hardware design, systems software, network architecture, and firmware development are the most likely candidates, given the company's work on high-speed interconnect technology. These positions typically require specialized degrees and skills that align with H-1B specialty occupation standards.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at Cornelis Networks?
Migrate Mate is the most efficient way to find open roles at Cornelis Networks with confirmed visa sponsorship. You can filter by company, visa type, and industry to surface positions that match your situation, whether you're on OPT, CPT, or looking for direct H-1B sponsorship. This removes the guesswork of cold-applying to companies with unclear immigration policies.
How do I approach the application process at Cornelis Networks as an international candidate?
Lead with your technical qualifications and relevant experience in hardware or interconnect systems, that's what drives hiring decisions at Cornelis Networks. Once you've established fit, raise visa logistics early in the recruiter conversation. Companies with active sponsorship programs are prepared for this, and doing it upfront avoids wasting time if timelines don't align with the H-1B calendar.
