Align your credentials with U.S. licensing standards
Construction roles often require state-recognized certifications like OSHA 10 or 30, and project management credentials such as PMP. Verify your existing qualifications translate to U.S. equivalency before applying, since Crossland operates across multiple states with varying compliance requirements.
Target Crossland's active project pipeline directly
Crossland regularly bids on large commercial and institutional projects across the Midwest and South. Research their awarded contracts through public procurement databases to identify which project types are actively staffing, then tailor your resume to those specific construction disciplines.
Browse open Construction roles through Migrate Mate
Search Migrate Mate to filter Construction openings at Crossland by role type and sponsorship eligibility. This narrows your focus to positions where H-1B candidates are actively being considered, saving time compared to sorting through general job boards.
Understand the H-1B cap and timing constraints
H-1B petitions for Construction roles at Crossland must be filed during the annual USCIS registration window, typically opening in March. If selected, your earliest start date is October 1. Build your job search timeline backward from that deadline to avoid offer gaps.
Prepare a specialty occupation narrative for your role
USCIS scrutinizes whether Construction positions meet the specialty occupation threshold. Document how your role requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field like civil engineering or construction management, not just general trade experience, before the petition is filed.
Clarify sponsorship intent before accepting an offer
Ask directly during late-stage interviews whether the hiring team has coordinated with HR and legal counsel on H-1B filing timelines. Some construction employers are willing but unprepared, and confirming internal alignment early prevents offer rescissions after the USCIS registration deadline passes.

Does Crossland Construction Company sponsor H-1B visas for Constructions?
Yes, Crossland Construction Company has sponsored H-1B visas for Construction roles. Sponsorship is not guaranteed for every open position, so confirming sponsorship availability with the recruiter early in the process is essential. Roles requiring specialized civil or construction engineering backgrounds are more likely to meet USCIS's specialty occupation criteria and move forward through the H-1B process.
How do I apply for Construction jobs at Crossland Construction Company?
Apply directly through Crossland's careers page or browse their open Construction roles on Migrate Mate, which filters listings by sponsorship eligibility. Tailor your resume to the specific project type listed, whether commercial, industrial, or institutional construction. Reach out to the recruiter after applying to confirm H-1B sponsorship is on the table for the role you're targeting.
Which visa types are commonly used for Construction roles at Crossland Construction Company?
H-1B is the primary visa pathway used for Construction roles at Crossland. This category is suited to positions requiring at least a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a closely related field. Roles that function more as skilled trades without a formal degree requirement are unlikely to qualify for H-1B sponsorship under USCIS's specialty occupation standard.
What qualifications and experience does Crossland Construction Company expect for sponsored Construction roles?
Sponsored Construction roles at Crossland typically require a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or architecture, combined with demonstrated project site experience. Familiarity with construction scheduling software such as Primavera or Procore, knowledge of commercial building codes, and OSHA safety certifications strengthen your profile significantly for roles where H-1B sponsorship is on the table.
How do I manage the H-1B filing timeline when pursuing Construction roles at Crossland?
USCIS opens H-1B registration in March each year, with a lottery selection shortly after. If selected, your petition is filed by June and the work authorization begins October 1. Securing an offer from Crossland by February gives the company enough runway to register you in time. Missing the window means waiting a full year, so early outreach to their hiring team is critical.
