Align your degree with BD responsibilities
Danfoss evaluates H-1B eligibility strictly against specialty occupation criteria. A business, engineering, or economics degree paired with manufacturing sector experience strengthens your petition far more than a generalist background alone.
Target Danfoss divisions with active pipelines
Danfoss organizes Business Development around segments like climate solutions, drives, and power solutions. Applying directly to a division where you have domain knowledge signals relevant expertise and increases your chances of clearing internal hiring thresholds.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open BD roles
Danfoss posts Business Development positions across multiple divisions simultaneously. Use Migrate Mate to filter roles by sponsorship type so you apply only to positions where your visa category is already supported, saving time before outreach.
Prepare for an LCA-informed salary conversation
Before your offer stage, review DOL prevailing wage data for Business Development titles in the metro where Danfoss is hiring. Understanding wage level classifications helps you anticipate what offer tier to expect and avoids surprises during the LCA filing.
Get your TN documentation ready before interviews
If you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship, TN status can support Business Development roles at Danfoss with no lottery and no wait. Prepare your degree credentials and an employer support letter early so you can move fast after an offer.
Understand Danfoss OPT timelines for BD roles
Business Development roles often have multi-month hiring cycles. If you are on F-1 OPT, calculate your remaining authorized work period against Danfoss's typical offer-to-start timeline and confirm your employer will file an H-1B petition before your OPT expires.

Does Danfoss sponsor H-1B visas for Business Developments?
Yes, Danfoss sponsors H-1B visas for Business Development roles. The position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation when the role requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as business, engineering, or economics. Your employer will need to file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS can process the H-1B petition.
How do I apply for Business Development jobs at Danfoss?
You can find open Business Development positions on the Danfoss careers site or through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. Danfoss organizes its BD hiring by business segment, so applying to a division that matches your industry background improves your chances of progressing through the process.
Which visa types does Danfoss commonly use for Business Development roles?
Danfoss supports several visa categories for Business Development professionals, including H-1B, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, F-1 OPT and CPT for current students, J-1 for exchange visitors, and immigrant visa pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-term sponsorship. The right category depends on your nationality, degree level, and stage of the immigration process.
What qualifications does Danfoss expect for Business Development roles?
Danfoss typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related technical field, along with experience in industrial or manufacturing markets. For H-1B purposes, the degree must be directly relevant to the role's responsibilities. Demonstrated knowledge of Danfoss's core segments, such as climate solutions or motion drives, strengthens your application considerably.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Business Development role at Danfoss?
Timelines depend on the visa type. TN status can be processed at the border or port of entry in a single day for eligible nationals. H-1B petitions filed under regular processing take three to six months, while premium processing through USCIS reduces that to 15 business days. PERM-based immigrant visa sponsorship for EB-2 or EB-3 categories typically takes one to three years from the initial DOL filing.
