Frame your technical sales credentials clearly
Danfoss Sales roles often require fluency in industrial products like drives, controls, or heating systems. Document your experience with technical solutions selling in manufacturing contexts before applying, so your resume signals fit without a hiring manager having to infer it.
Target roles tied to key verticals
Danfoss structures its Sales function around verticals like food and beverage, HVAC, and industrial automation. Applying to roles aligned with your sector experience improves your sponsorship odds, since the employer is more likely to pursue an H-1B or PERM filing for a strong vertical fit.
Understand how specialty occupation applies to Sales
USCIS scrutinizes H-1B petitions for Sales roles more heavily than engineering ones. A degree in business, engineering, or a technical field directly tied to the products you sell strengthens the specialty occupation argument your employer will need to make.
Time your application around OPT or grace period windows
If you're on F-1 OPT, align your job search so an offer and H-1B filing can happen before your OPT expires. Danfoss sponsors F-1 CPT and OPT, so confirming your authorization type early in conversations with recruiters prevents delays at the offer stage.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Danfoss Sales roles
Searching broadly across job boards makes it hard to verify sponsorship willingness. Use Migrate Mate to browse verified Sales openings at Danfoss filtered by visa type, so you only invest time in roles where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Confirm LCA coverage before negotiating your offer
For H-1B placements, Danfoss must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL certifying your wage meets the prevailing rate for your region and role. Ask your recruiter which geographic location the role is posted under, since LCA wage floors vary significantly by metro area.

Find Sales at Danfoss JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Danfoss sponsor H-1B visas for Sales roles?
Yes, Danfoss sponsors H-1B visas for Sales positions. Because Sales roles must qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards, your application is stronger when your degree aligns directly with the product line or industry you'd be selling into, such as engineering for industrial automation roles or business for distribution-focused positions.
How do I apply for Sales jobs at Danfoss?
You can find open Sales roles through Danfoss's careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters positions by visa sponsorship type so you can focus on roles that match your authorization. When applying, tailor your resume to the specific vertical the role covers, such as HVAC, food and beverage, or industrial drives, since Danfoss Sales hiring is organized around those segments.
Which visa types does Danfoss commonly use for Sales positions?
Danfoss sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Sales roles. TN is an efficient option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying business and engineering occupations. For longer-term employment, Danfoss supports PERM-based Green Card sponsorship for Sales professionals who build tenure with the company.
What qualifications does Danfoss expect for Sales roles?
Danfoss Sales roles typically require a bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related technical field, combined with experience in industrial or manufacturing sales environments. Familiarity with the specific product category, whether drives, heating controls, or cooling systems, is often a stated or implied requirement. Field sales experience with distributors or OEM customers is valued across most levels.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship for a Danfoss Sales role?
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed in April for an October 1 start date, so work backward from that window when targeting your offer. If you're already in the U.S. on a valid status like OPT, you can start sooner through a cap-exempt path if applicable, or bridge with OPT STEM extension while awaiting H-1B approval. Confirm your specific situation with Danfoss's immigration counsel early in the offer process.
