INTRODUCTION
As a Senior Product Manager on the Code Security team, you will define and own the roadmap for Code Security's core application vulnerability management products (application security testing and software composition analysis). This is a strategic and technical role focused on identifying gaps in customers' vulnerability management workflows and translating those insights into high-impact product capabilities. You'll work cross-functionally with engineering, security research, design, and go-to-market teams to launch innovative solutions that help customers stay ahead of evolving threats. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow your expertise in both application security and AI, while shaping one of Datadog's fastest-growing product areas.
At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds, and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.
What You'll Do:
- Own the product roadmap for Datadog's core Code Security products for application code and library vulnerability scanning
- Conduct deep customer discovery with security and engineering teams to uncover critical gaps in vulnerability management, supply chain protection, and AI-assisted coding workflows
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, security research, and go-to-market teams to drive alignment and execute on roadmap priorities
- Launch new capabilities from 0 to 1, helping to establish and grow the Code Security portfolio's presence in the market
- Translate complex technical challenges into clear product strategies that address customer needs and market opportunities
Who You Are:
- Extensive experience as a Product Manager owning the roadmap and execution for technical products, ideally in developer tools, security, or infrastructure
- You enjoy engaging directly with customers, leading discovery calls, participating in sales conversations, and building relationships to understand user needs
- You have a solid technical understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including how security integrates into modern developer workflows
- You are familiar with AI coding tools or agentic development workflows and are comfortable working at the intersection of AI and security
- You thrive in cross-functional environments and enjoy turning ambiguous problems into tangible product outcomes
- You have experience taking new features or products from 0 to 1, making thoughtful tradeoffs about what to build (and what not to build) in fast paced environments
- You communicate clearly and persuasively with both internal and external stakeholders
Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you're passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.
Benefits and Growth:
- New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan (ESPP)
- Continuous professional development, product training, and career pathing

Frame your PM credentials around engineering workflows
Datadog hires Program Managers who can operate inside engineering teams, not just above them. Tailor your resume to show experience managing technical milestones, sprint coordination, or infrastructure rollouts rather than purely business-side delivery.
Identify open roles tied to product verticals
Datadog's Program Manager openings tend to cluster around specific product areas like APM, cloud cost, or platform reliability. Filter job listings by team or product line to target roles where your domain background in SaaS or infrastructure aligns tightly with the team's work.
Confirm visa eligibility before your first screen
H-1B1 and TN visas have nationality restrictions that affect your options even if Datadog sponsors broadly. Before your recruiter screen, clarify which visa types Datadog's immigration counsel handles for this role so neither side wastes time on an unsupported pathway.
Time your application around H-1B cap deadlines
If you need H-1B sponsorship, USCIS opens H-1B registration in March for an October 1 start. Accepting an offer at Datadog in late spring or summer gives you the shortest wait to authorized employment under a cap-subject petition.
Use Migrate Mate to surface active sponsorship openings
Datadog posts Program Manager roles across multiple job boards but not all listings signal visa sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to filter for Datadog roles verified for sponsorship, so you focus applications on positions where immigration support is confirmed.
Prepare your immigration documents before the offer stage
Once Datadog extends an offer, the LCA filing with DOL must precede any H-1B petition. Having your academic transcripts, employment verification letters, and degree equivalency assessments ready in advance prevents delays in Datadog's legal team starting that process.

Find Project Program Manager at Datadog JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Datadog sponsor H-1B visas for Project Program Managers?
Yes, Datadog sponsors H-1B visas for Project Program Manager roles. The H-1B is the most common pathway for this position because Program Management at Datadog typically requires a relevant bachelor's degree or higher, satisfying the specialty occupation standard USCIS applies. Sponsorship support generally includes the DOL Labor Condition Application and the full I-129 petition filing.
How do I apply for Project Program Manager jobs at Datadog?
Apply directly through Datadog's careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters for Datadog roles where visa sponsorship is confirmed. Tailoring your application to show technical program delivery experience in SaaS or cloud environments improves fit. Datadog's recruiting process for this function typically includes a recruiter screen, a panel with cross-functional stakeholders, and a program execution case study or presentation.
Which visa types does Datadog support for Project Program Manager roles?
Datadog sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, TN, and F-1 OPT and CPT visas for Program Manager positions, and supports employment-based Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 and EB-3 pathways for longer-term hires. H-1B1 is available only to Chilean and Singaporean nationals. TN applies to Canadian and Mexican citizens working in qualifying professional categories. Your recruiter can confirm which pathways apply to your situation.
What qualifications does Datadog expect for a Project Program Manager?
Datadog typically looks for a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related technical field, combined with experience managing complex programs inside a software or cloud company. Familiarity with agile delivery, cross-functional stakeholder management, and technical roadmap coordination is expected. Experience working alongside engineering or infrastructure teams in a SaaS environment strengthens your candidacy significantly compared to purely operational program management backgrounds.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take after an offer from Datadog?
For H-1B sponsorship, Datadog's legal team must first file a Labor Condition Application with DOL, which typically takes seven to ten business days for standard processing. The I-129 petition then goes to USCIS. Regular processing can take several months; premium processing reduces the adjudication window to 15 business days. F-1 OPT transfers are faster since no petition is required, only an employer verification step.
