Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Program Manager Jobs at Datadog Jobs
Frame your PM credentials around technical delivery
Datadog's Program Manager roles sit close to engineering and product teams. Highlight experience coordinating software releases, managing infrastructure migrations, or running agile ceremonies. Specialty occupation eligibility for H-1B depends on demonstrating a degree requirement tied to the specific role.
Identify open roles that explicitly mention sponsorship
Datadog posts Program Manager openings across product, security, and go-to-market functions. Search DOL's FLAG system for Labor Condition Applications filed under 'Program Manager' to confirm which role types have cleared the prevailing wage process at this employer.
Target Datadog's technical program management track
Datadog distinguishes between business-facing and engineering-aligned PM roles. Roles tied to platform reliability, integrations, or infrastructure roadmaps tend to align more cleanly with specialty occupation definitions, which strengthens the H-1B petition your employer files with USCIS.
Time your application around H-1B cap registration
If you're on F-1 OPT, cap registration opens in early March and the lottery results drop before April 1. Align your Datadog interview process accordingly so an offer is in place before USCIS closes the registration window for that fiscal year.
Clarify sponsorship scope before negotiating your offer
Ask Datadog's recruiter directly whether the offer includes I-129 filing, premium processing, and Green Card sponsorship initiation. Some employers cover PERM and I-140 only after a tenure threshold. Get clarity on that timeline before you sign.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Datadog PM openings by visa type
Migrate Mate lets you browse Datadog's Program Manager listings filtered by visa types including H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT, so you can confirm which postings align with your current status before you invest time in the application.

Find Program Manager at Datadog JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Datadog sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, Datadog sponsors H-1B visas for Program Manager roles. The company has an established pattern of filing Labor Condition Applications and I-129 petitions for this function. Program Manager positions that sit close to engineering or product delivery tend to support the specialty occupation designation USCIS requires, though the specific role's degree requirements will determine eligibility.
Which visa types does Datadog commonly use for Program Manager roles?
Datadog sponsors a range of visa types for Program Managers, including H-1B, H-1B1 for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, TN for Canadian and Mexican professionals, and F-1 OPT and CPT for students in active programs. For longer-term pathways, Datadog also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, typically initiated after an employee has been in role for a period of time.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at Datadog?
Apply directly through Datadog's careers page and filter by the Program Manager job family. Tailor your resume to reflect cross-functional delivery, technical coordination, and stakeholder alignment across engineering or product teams. During the recruiter screen, raise your visa status early so the hiring team can loop in Datadog's immigration counsel before an offer is extended. Migrate Mate also lists Datadog's Program Manager openings filtered by visa sponsorship type, which helps you confirm fit before applying.
What qualifications does Datadog expect for sponsored Program Manager roles?
Datadog typically looks for a bachelor's degree in a technical or business field alongside direct experience managing complex, cross-functional programs in a software or SaaS environment. For H-1B sponsorship, the role must require a specific degree, so positions tied to engineering roadmaps, platform operations, or observability products tend to be stronger candidates than generalist coordination roles.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at Datadog?
If you're currently on F-1 OPT, you have up to 12 months of work authorization, extendable to 36 months with a STEM extension if your degree qualifies. USCIS opens H-1B cap registration in March for an October 1 start date. Securing a Datadog offer by February gives the company time to prepare your LCA filing with DOL and submit your registration before the window closes.
