The Team:
The GTM Strategy & Operations Senior Associate – Sales Development & AI will join a global team driving Datadog's next phase of growth, with a dedicated focus on our Sales Development Representative (SDR) organization & driving SDR productivity through AI solutions.
We're interdisciplinary thinkers leveraging diverse business backgrounds in tech, management consulting, investment banking, and business development to accelerate Datadog's global growth. We work directly with Datadog's most senior leaders to set corporate strategy, launch new GTM programs, improve efficiency across the business, and support data-driven decision-making.
In this role, you will act as a key partner to SDR leadership, helping shape their highest priority initiatives.
The Opportunity:
As a GTM Strategy & Operations Senior Associate – Sales Development & AI, you will play a pivotal role in driving impact for our global SDR organization and defining our SDR AI roadmap. This is not a purely strategic role — it is equally focused on building, launching, and deploying solutions that improve SDR & sales productivity, efficiency, and pipeline generation. This is an especially exciting time to join the team, as we actively test and deploy new AI-driven solutions across the Sales organization.
This role offers the opportunity to make immediate, tangible impact by designing and implementing initiatives end-to-end — from identifying problems, to developing solutions, to driving adoption across the organization.
At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.
What you'll do:
- Build and deploy SDR-focused solutions: Design, launch, and scale programs, processes, and tools that improve SDR effectiveness, efficiency, and pipeline generation (e.g., routing logic, outreach strategies, tooling improvements, workflow automation).
- Strategic partnership with SDR leadership: Partner directly with Sales Development leaders to shape team strategy, prioritize key initiatives, and execute against top objectives.
- SDR AI roadmap & execution: Define how we should leverage AI to better optimize our outbound & inbound motions.
- GTM analysis and reporting: Analyze SDR and GTM data to identify trends, uncover performance gaps, and inform decision-making on coverage, segmentation, and channel efficiency.
- Strategic roadmap development: Help define and execute the roadmap for scaling the SDR organization in line with growth targets, identifying opportunities to optimize performance and productivity.
- Data visualization and insights: Build dashboards and reporting to deliver actionable insights and monitor the impact of deployed initiatives.
What we're looking for:
- Experience: 3–5 years in GTM/growth/revenue strategy, management consulting, investment banking/equity research, or a similar role (experience working with Sales or SDR teams is a plus).
- Deep passion for AI: You keep up with the latest AI news, you have a passion for experimentation, you have fully integrated AI into your professional workflows, and you vibe code on the weekend.
- Interest in GTM AI innovation: Strong interest in exploring, launching, and scaling new GTM AI technologies to improve sales development productivity and effectiveness.
- Builder mindset: Proven ability to go beyond strategy — you can design solutions and drive them through execution, rollout, and adoption.
- Creative problem solving: Comfort operating in ambiguity and structuring loosely defined problems.
- Strategic thinking: Ability to break down complex problems into structured insights and clear action plans.
- Quantitative analysis: Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex ideas for senior stakeholders.
- Ownership: Track record of working cross-functionally and taking responsibility for outcomes across Sales, Marketing, Strategy, and Product teams.
- Presentation skills: Ability to create and deliver presentations for senior and executive audiences.
Bonus Points:
- Experience deploying GTM AI solutions and sales tooling.
- Experience working with or supporting Sales Development / SDR organizations.
- Experience manipulating and analyzing complex datasets using SQL and/or Python.
- Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
- Experience implementing GTM tools, workflows, or automation.
Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you're passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.
Benefits & Growth:
- Generous and competitive benefits package.
- New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan.
- Continuous career development and pathing opportunities.
- Employee-focused best in class onboarding.
- Internal mentor and cross-departmental buddy program.
- Friendly and inclusive workplace culture.
Benefits and Growth listed above may vary based on the country of your employment and the nature of your employment with Datadog.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Business Development Jobs at Datadog Jobs
Align your BD experience to SaaS metrics
Datadog evaluates BD candidates on pipeline generation, partner ecosystem experience, and cloud or observability market familiarity. Frame your resume around ARR, deal cycles, and technical sales motions before you apply, not after.
Confirm LCA filings before your interview
Datadog must file a Labor Condition Application with DOL before your H-1B can proceed. Search the DOL's OFLC disclosure data for Datadog's BD job titles to understand how they classify these roles and which office locations have active filings.
Target roles that match your current visa status
F-1 OPT and CPT authorizations have tight timelines. If you're approaching your OPT end date, prioritize Datadog BD openings that list H-1B sponsorship explicitly rather than assuming all roles qualify, since cap-subject H-1B filings follow USCIS's April 1 cycle.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Datadog BD openings by visa type
Datadog posts BD roles across multiple offices and seniority levels. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Business Development positions at Datadog that match your sponsorship category, so you're not manually sifting through roles that won't support your visa.
Negotiate your start date around the H-1B timeline
If you need a new H-1B petition rather than a transfer, your employment cannot start before October 1 of the fiscal year USCIS approves. Build this into your offer negotiation so both you and your Datadog recruiter are aligned on a realistic start date.
Prepare your degree equivalency documentation early
Datadog's BD roles in technical segments often expect degrees in business, computer science, or a related field. If your credential is from a non-U.S. institution, get a formal equivalency evaluation before the offer stage so it doesn't slow down USCIS petition prep.

Does Datadog sponsor H-1B visas for Business Developments?
Yes, Datadog sponsors H-1B visas for Business Development roles. The company has a documented pattern of filing across multiple visa categories for this function, including H-1B, H-1B1, and employment-based Green Card pathways like EB-2 and EB-3. Sponsorship eligibility depends on the specific role and your current immigration status, so confirm with the recruiter early in the process.
How do I apply for Business Development jobs at Datadog?
Start by browsing Datadog's open Business Development positions through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can identify which openings match your status. When applying directly, tailor your application to highlight SaaS sales experience, partner ecosystem work, or cloud market knowledge, since those are the most common qualifications Datadog looks for in BD candidates.
Which visa types does Datadog commonly use for Business Development roles?
Datadog sponsors H-1B and H-1B1 visas for Business Development positions, along with F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates. For longer-term pathways, the company has also supported EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship and TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals. The right category depends on your nationality, degree, and role classification.
What qualifications does Datadog expect for Business Development roles?
Datadog's BD roles typically require experience in SaaS or cloud technology sales, with stronger consideration given to candidates who understand observability, DevOps, or enterprise infrastructure markets. A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field is standard. For senior roles, experience managing channel partnerships or strategic alliances in a technical environment carries significant weight.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship to join Datadog?
If you need a cap-subject H-1B, USCIS registration opens in March and the employment start date cannot be earlier than October 1. That means offers accepted in Q1 or Q2 often have a several-month gap before your official start date. Discuss this window with your Datadog recruiter during negotiations, and confirm whether premium processing is available to shorten the approval wait to around 15 business days.
