Align your credentials to federal frameworks
Deloitte's security roles frequently support federal and regulated-industry clients, so certifications like CISSP, CISM, or FedRAMP experience strengthen your petition. USCIS evaluates specialty occupation based on the specific role requirements, not just your degree field.
Target Deloitte's cyber practice hiring cycles
Deloitte's cybersecurity practice ramps hiring ahead of major client engagement cycles, typically in late summer and early fall. Applying outside those windows means fewer open requisitions and slower pipeline movement, which can compress your H-1B cap filing timeline.
Verify your visa type fits the role structure
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1 visa, E-3, and permanent residence pathways. If you're Australian or Chilean, confirm with the recruiter upfront whether your offer is structured for E-3 or H-1B, since the LCA and petition process differ and timing matters.
Prepare for a client-site attestation requirement
Security Program Manager roles at Deloitte often involve placement at client sites, which requires a separate Labor Condition Application attestation for each work location. Confirm with your recruiter whether the role is multi-location so DOL filings are structured correctly from the start.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Security Program Manager roles
Searching Deloitte's careers page doesn't filter by sponsorship eligibility. Use Migrate Mate to browse Security Program Manager openings at Deloitte that are verified for visa sponsorship, so you're not applying to roles that won't clear your immigration status.
Negotiate offer timing around the H-1B cap window
If you need H-1B cap sponsorship, your start date must align with the October 1 fiscal year. Deloitte's talent acquisition team understands this, but confirm early in the process so your offer letter reflects a compliant start date and avoids a deferred onboarding situation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Security Program Managers?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Security Program Managers. Deloitte has an established immigration program and routinely files H-1B petitions for roles in its cybersecurity and risk advisory practices. You'll work with Deloitte's in-house immigration team, though sponsorship is contingent on the specific role, your qualifications, and whether the position meets USCIS specialty occupation requirements.
Which visa types does Deloitte use for Security Program Manager roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1 visa, and E-3 visas for Security Program Managers, depending on your nationality. Australian citizens are eligible for the E-3, which has no lottery and a faster pathway. Chilean nationals may qualify for the H-1B1. Deloitte also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for employees on a longer-term track with the firm.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for Security Program Manager roles?
Deloitte typically expects a bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, or a related field, paired with professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or PMP. Experience managing enterprise security programs, risk frameworks like NIST or ISO 27001, and client-facing delivery in a consulting environment significantly strengthens your candidacy for these roles.
How do I apply for Security Program Manager jobs at Deloitte?
You can apply through Deloitte's careers portal, but standard job boards don't indicate which roles are open to visa sponsorship. Migrate Mate lists Security Program Manager openings at Deloitte that are verified for sponsorship eligibility, letting you focus your applications on positions where your immigration status won't disqualify you late in the process.
How do I plan my timeline if I need Deloitte to sponsor an H-1B?
If you require H-1B cap sponsorship, Deloitte must file your petition in April for an October 1 start date. That means your offer should be finalized no later than March. If you're already in a valid nonimmigrant status, Deloitte may be able to file a cap-exempt petition sooner, depending on whether the work site qualifies. Confirm your status and target start date with the recruiter before signing your offer.
