Target engineering and R&D roles first
Dyson's manufacturing and product innovation focus means engineering, mechanical design, and research roles are most likely to attract sponsorship. Prioritize positions in these departments when applying, as they align closest with Dyson's core technical hiring needs.
Understand which visa types Dyson supports
Dyson has sponsored H-1B, Green Card, TN, and OPT/CPT candidates. If you're on F-1 OPT, Dyson's willingness to support CPT and OPT makes it a practical early-career target before pursuing H-1B sponsorship down the line.
Emphasize specialized technical skills in your application
Dyson hires for highly specialized manufacturing and engineering roles. Highlight domain expertise in areas like fluid dynamics, electrical engineering, or industrial design, since specialty occupation requirements are central to H-1B eligibility in manufacturing environments.
Apply ahead of the H-1B registration window
H-1B registration opens in March each year. If you're targeting Dyson for H-1B sponsorship, begin your outreach and application process in late 2025 or early 2026 so hiring decisions can align with the registration timeline.
Look for roles explicitly open to visa sponsorship
Not every Dyson role comes with sponsorship attached. Filter for positions that explicitly mention work authorization support. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and avoid wasting applications on non-sponsoring roles.
Canadian and Mexican applicants should consider TN eligibility
Dyson has sponsored TN visas, which apply to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering and scientific roles. The TN process is faster and less costly than H-1B, making it a strong alternative if you hold citizenship in either country.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Dyson sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Dyson sponsors H-1B visas. The company has an established track record of supporting H-1B petitions, particularly for specialized technical and engineering roles in its U.S. operations. Sponsorship is not guaranteed for every open position, so it's worth confirming with the recruiter during early-stage conversations whether a specific role includes H-1B support.
Which visa types does Dyson sponsor?
Dyson sponsors a range of visa types including H-1B, Green Card (EB-2 and EB-3), TN visa, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT. This breadth makes Dyson accessible to candidates at multiple career stages, from students on OPT seeking practical training to experienced professionals pursuing permanent residency through employer-sponsored Green Card pathways.
Which departments or roles at Dyson are most likely to offer visa sponsorship?
Dyson's sponsorship activity tends to concentrate in engineering, product development, manufacturing, and research functions, where the specialty occupation criteria for H-1B visas are most straightforwardly met. Roles requiring specific technical degrees, such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or materials science, are historically stronger candidates for sponsorship than generalist or support functions.
How do I find Dyson jobs that include visa sponsorship?
The most reliable approach is to look for roles explicitly flagged as open to work authorization support rather than assuming all listings include sponsorship. Migrate Mate aggregates verified sponsoring employers and lets you filter by visa type and company, making it straightforward to identify active Dyson openings where sponsorship is confirmed rather than implied.
How do I time my application to Dyson around the H-1B process?
H-1B registration takes place each March, with the fiscal year starting October 1. To align with this timeline, aim to have an offer in hand by February or early March at the latest. Starting your outreach to Dyson in the autumn or winter before the registration window gives both you and the hiring team enough runway to complete the process without rushing.
