Align your degree to the role
Capgemini's E-3 roles typically require a degree directly related to the position, not just any bachelor's degree. Map your Australian qualification to the specific job title using O*NET occupation profiles before applying, so your credentials clearly satisfy the specialty occupation requirement.
Target consulting and engineering teams
Capgemini's E-3 sponsorship activity concentrates in technology consulting, application development, and data engineering. When searching open roles, filter for these practice areas rather than applying broadly. Teams with active client delivery work are more likely to have headcount approved for visa sponsorship.
Confirm sponsorship before accepting interviews
Capgemini operates across multiple legal entities in the U.S. Not every division sponsors E-3 visas, so ask your recruiter directly which entity would employ you and whether that entity has processed E-3 applications before. This avoids wasting time on roles that can't proceed to sponsorship.
Verify your prevailing wage early
Before Capgemini can file your Labor Condition Application with DOL, your offered salary must meet the prevailing wage for your role and work location. Use the OFLC Wage Search to check wage levels by occupation and city so you can negotiate from an informed position during the offer stage.
Use Migrate Mate to manage your E-3 filing
Once Capgemini extends an offer, the consular application and document preparation can move quickly. Migrate Mate handles the E-3 filing process end-to-end, working with your employer's HR team to coordinate the LCA and supporting documents so nothing slips through the cracks before your interview.
Prepare your nonimmigrant intent documentation
E-3 consular officers scrutinize ties to Australia, especially for applicants joining large consulting firms where long-term U.S. placement is common. Prepare concrete evidence of Australian connections, such as property ownership, family ties, or professional memberships, before your consulate appointment to address intent questions confidently.
Capgemini E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Capgemini America sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, Capgemini America sponsors E-3 visas for qualifying Australian professionals. The company has established immigration support infrastructure and works with in-house or external immigration counsel to process E-3 applications. Sponsorship is most consistently available for technology consulting, software engineering, and data roles that meet the specialty occupation definition under USCIS guidelines.
Which roles at Capgemini America typically receive E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship at Capgemini America is concentrated in technology-focused positions: software developers, data engineers, cloud architects, IT consultants, and project managers with technical specializations. Roles that require a directly related bachelor's degree and involve complex problem-solving or systems design are most likely to qualify as specialty occupations for E-3 purposes.
How do I start the E-3 application process at Capgemini America?
After receiving a job offer, Capgemini's HR or immigration team files a Labor Condition Application with DOL. Once certified, you complete the DS-160, schedule a consulate appointment in Australia, and attend your visa interview. USCIS approval is not required for E-3 visas obtained through consular processing, which makes the timeline faster than most other work visas.
How long does E-3 sponsorship take at Capgemini America?
The LCA certification from DOL typically takes around seven business days. Consulate appointment availability in Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth then determines your overall timeline. From offer acceptance to visa stamp, most applicants complete the process within four to eight weeks, though peak periods at consulates can extend wait times.
How do I find and apply for E-3 jobs at Capgemini America?
Search Capgemini America's open roles filtered by technology and consulting functions, and confirm with recruiters that the specific position and employing entity support E-3 sponsorship. Migrate Mate lists employers with verified E-3 LCA filing history, letting you cross-reference Capgemini's sponsorship activity by role type before investing time in the application process.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at Capgemini America?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
