Align your degree to Evapco's engineering roles
E-3 requires a specialty occupation with a directly related degree. Manufacturing sponsors like Evapco expect your qualification to map precisely to mechanical, chemical, or industrial engineering, not just a STEM degree broadly. Check your occupation's requirements against O*NET before applying.
Request LCA documentation before accepting an offer
Your E-3 application depends on a certified Labor Condition Application. Ask Evapco's HR team early whether they've initiated the DOL filing, delays here push your entire consular appointment timeline. Don't assume the LCA is in motion just because an offer letter has arrived.
Verify your salary meets prevailing wage thresholds
DOL requires E-3 employers to pay the prevailing wage for your role and location. Before your interview, run your job title and Evapco's work site through the OFLC Wage Search to confirm your offered salary meets or exceeds the published threshold.
Target Evapco's engineering and product development teams
Manufacturing companies sponsor E-3 visas most consistently for roles with defined technical degree requirements. At Evapco, focus your applications on thermal engineering, product design, and applied research positions where the specialty occupation standard is clearest and sponsorship history exists.
Use Migrate Mate to search Evapco's verified E-3 filing history
Before you apply, confirm Evapco's actual E-3 sponsorship activity by searching their DOL Labor Condition Application filings on Migrate Mate. This shows which job titles and locations have been sponsored, so you can prioritize roles with a demonstrated track record.
Prepare your nonimmigrant intent evidence before the consular interview
Consular officers assess whether you intend to return to Australia after your E-3 assignment ends. Gather documentation of ties at home, property, family, or professional commitments, before your appointment, since Evapco's HR team won't prepare this portion of your file for you.
Evapco E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Evapco sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, Evapco sponsors E-3 visas for qualifying roles in the manufacturing sector. Sponsorship is concentrated in engineering and technical positions where the specialty occupation requirement is clearly met. Australian nationals should target roles that align directly with their degree field, as Evapco's HR team will need to certify that connection when filing the Labor Condition Application with DOL.
Which roles at Evapco are most likely to receive E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship at Evapco is most consistent for engineering positions, particularly mechanical, thermal, and industrial engineering roles tied to Evapco's core product lines in heat transfer and fluid cooling systems. Positions in applied research and product development that require a specific technical degree are the strongest candidates, as they most clearly satisfy the specialty occupation standard USCIS requires.
How do I start the E-3 application process at Evapco?
Once Evapco extends a conditional offer, their HR or legal team files a Labor Condition Application with DOL. After that certification, you complete the DS-160 online and schedule a consular interview in Australia. Evapco provides the certified LCA and a support letter; you bring those documents along with your degree credentials to the interview. USCIS is not involved in consular E-3 applications.
How long does the E-3 sponsorship process take at Evapco?
The DOL LCA certification typically takes seven business days. Consular appointment availability in Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth then determines the remaining timeline, and wait times fluctuate seasonally. From offer acceptance to a stamped visa, most applicants should plan for three to six weeks, though consulate backlogs can extend this. Migrate Mate can help you track filing status and prepare your documentation package during that window.
What documentation should I bring to my E-3 consular interview for an Evapco role?
Bring your original academic transcripts and degree certificate, the certified Labor Condition Application Evapco's team provides, a support letter from Evapco confirming your role and salary, a completed DS-160 confirmation page, and your current Australian passport. If your degree field doesn't map perfectly to the job title, a credential evaluation or professional reference letter demonstrating equivalent qualifications can help the consular officer confirm specialty occupation status.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at Evapco?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
