Align your degree to EXOTEC's roles
EXOTEC hires for robotics, warehouse automation, and supply chain technology. Your degree must directly match the role's specialty occupation definition. A mechanical engineering or computer science degree maps cleanly; a general business degree may not survive USCIS scrutiny for a technical position.
Research EXOTEC's prevailing wage before negotiating
Before you receive an offer, look up the prevailing wage for your target role and location using the OFLC Wage Search. Your offered salary must meet or exceed the DOL wage level for the occupation and region, and EXOTEC's LCA will certify exactly that figure.
Confirm E-3 eligibility early in interviews
Distribution and logistics technology companies sometimes default to H-1B visa planning. Raise the E-3 option explicitly during the offer stage. EXOTEC's HR team may need to confirm that E-3 is available for your specific role before the LCA filing process begins.
Use Migrate Mate to file your E-3 application
Once EXOTEC certifies your LCA, use Migrate Mate to handle the DS-160, fee payments, and consulate document preparation. The flat-fee filing service assigns a dedicated E-3 expert and files within one business day of receiving your documents.
Check your role against O*NET before applying
EXOTEC's engineering and operations roles must qualify as specialty occupations requiring a specific bachelor's degree. Look up your job title on O*NET to confirm the job zone rating and required education level before you apply, so you can frame your application accurately.
Build your LCA document package before your consulate appointment
Consulate officers expect your employer's certified LCA, your offer letter, and your degree credentials at the interview. Gather and verify these documents as soon as EXOTEC issues the offer, not the day before the appointment. Uncertified or mismatched documents cause same-day delays.
EXOTEC E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does EXOTEC sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, EXOTEC sponsors E-3 visas for eligible Australian professionals. Sponsorship is concentrated in engineering, software, and operations roles that support its warehouse robotics and supply chain automation platform. If you're applying for a technical or specialist position, ask the recruiter to confirm E-3 availability for that specific role during the offer stage.
Which roles at EXOTEC typically receive E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship at EXOTEC is most common in roles tied to robotics systems engineering, software development, and supply chain operations. These positions typically satisfy the specialty occupation requirement because they demand a directly related bachelor's degree. General operations or sales roles may face more scrutiny depending on how the job is defined in the LCA.
How do I navigate the E-3 application process at EXOTEC?
After EXOTEC issues your offer letter, the employer files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL. Once that's certified, you complete the DS-160, pay the MRV fee, and attend a consulate interview in Australia. The LCA certification typically takes seven business days. Migrate Mate can manage the post-LCA steps, including document preparation and consulate scheduling guidance.
How long does the E-3 sponsorship process take at EXOTEC?
The full timeline from offer to visa stamp is typically four to six weeks for straightforward cases. DOL LCA certification takes around seven business days. Consulate appointment availability in Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth then determines the remaining wait. Peak periods can extend appointment lead times, so start the process as soon as EXOTEC confirms sponsorship.
What practical steps should I take to strengthen my E-3 application at EXOTEC?
Confirm that your degree field directly matches the role's specialty occupation classification before accepting the offer. Verify the prevailing wage for your position and location using the OFLC Wage Search so your salary expectation aligns with what EXOTEC will certify. Bring your certified LCA, offer letter, and academic credentials to the consulate interview, and ensure all documents are consistent in job title and employer details.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at EXOTEC?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
