Map your degree to insurance specialty roles
FCCI's E-3 filings concentrate in technical functions where a directly related degree is non-negotiable. Use O*NET to confirm your occupation qualifies as a specialty occupation before applying, so you're not caught off guard at the LCA stage.
Research FCCI's prevailing wage before negotiating
Run your target role and FCCI's Florida or regional office location through the OFLC Wage Search before your offer call. Your salary must meet the DOL prevailing wage for that occupation, and knowing the floor in advance strengthens your position.
Ask about LCA filing timelines during final rounds
FCCI's HR team may not initiate LCA paperwork until an offer is formally accepted. Ask directly in final-round conversations whether their legal team has E-3 experience, since LCA certification through DOL typically takes seven business days but delays happen.
Target actuarial and underwriting teams specifically
FCCI's core business lines in commercial property and casualty insurance generate consistent demand for actuarial, underwriting, and risk analytics roles. These functions align most naturally with E-3 specialty occupation requirements and are your strongest entry points.
Prepare your credential documents before the offer
Have your Australian degree transcripts and any professional credential letters ready before an offer is made. FCCI will need these to support the specialty occupation determination, and delays on your end can push back the consulate appointment timeline.
Use Migrate Mate to handle the E-3 filing
Once FCCI extends an offer and the LCA is certified, use Migrate Mate to manage your E-3 application. Their dedicated E-3 visa experts handle the paperwork at a flat fee, which is especially useful if FCCI's legal team is less familiar with the E-3 process.
FCCI Insurance Group E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does FCCI Insurance Group sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, FCCI Insurance Group does sponsor E-3 visas for eligible Australian nationals in qualifying specialty occupation roles. Sponsorship is most common in technical and analytical functions such as actuarial analysis, underwriting, and technology. As with most regional insurers, sponsorship decisions are role-specific, so confirming E-3 eligibility early in the hiring process is advisable.
Which roles at FCCI Insurance Group typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship at FCCI tends to align with roles that require a directly related bachelor's degree or higher, including actuarial analysts, underwriters, risk management specialists, and IT professionals. Roles in operations or general administration are less likely to meet the specialty occupation standard that USCIS requires for E-3 approval.
How do I start the E-3 application process at FCCI Insurance Group?
After receiving a job offer, FCCI's HR or legal team files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL on your behalf. Once the LCA is certified, you take it to your consulate interview in Australia with supporting documents. You do not file a petition with USCIS for an E-3, which makes the process faster than most employer-sponsored visas.
How long does the E-3 sponsorship process take at FCCI Insurance Group?
The DOL typically certifies the LCA within seven business days. From there, consulate appointment availability in Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth determines your overall timeline. Most applicants move from offer acceptance to visa stamp within four to eight weeks, though peak periods at consulates can extend that window.
How do I find and apply for E-3 roles at FCCI Insurance Group?
Search FCCI Insurance Group's open roles on Migrate Mate, which filters job listings for employers with verified E-3 sponsorship history. When you apply, flag your Australian citizenship and E-3 eligibility in your cover note so the recruiting team routes your application correctly from the start, avoiding delays later in the process.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at FCCI Insurance Group?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
