Align your degree to the role
Fis Management Services files E-3 petitions for specialty occupation roles, meaning your degree field must directly relate to the position. A computer science or information systems degree strengthens your case for software or systems roles. Check the O*NET occupation profile for your target title to confirm the required degree field before applying.
Research prevailing wage before negotiating
Your offered salary must meet or exceed the DOL prevailing wage for your role and work location. Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up the wage level for your specific occupation and city before salary discussions with Fis Management Services. Undercutting the threshold disqualifies the LCA before filing begins.
Confirm the LCA timeline with your hiring contact
At Fis Management Services, the employer files the Labor Condition Application with DOL before your visa appointment. DOL certifies most LCAs within seven business days, but delays happen. Ask your recruiter or HR contact to confirm when they plan to initiate the LCA so you can book your consulate appointment at the right time.
Use Migrate Mate to prepare your filing package
Once Fis Management Services extends an offer, use Migrate Mate to handle the E-3 filing. A dedicated E-3 visa expert manages the paperwork, coordinates with the employer, and files within one business day of receiving your documents, keeping the process moving without costly attorney delays.
Target technology teams actively hiring Australians
Within Fis Management Services, software engineering, data analytics, and enterprise technology consulting teams are the most consistent sources of E-3-eligible roles. Focus your application on positions with explicit degree requirements in computer science, information technology, or a closely related field rather than generalist management or operations roles.
Prepare for the consular interview with role-specific answers
E-3 consular officers at Australian posts routinely ask how your degree connects to your specific duties at Fis Management Services. Prepare a clear, one-sentence explanation of your role's technical responsibilities and how your degree field directly supports them. Vague answers about general IT work often trigger additional scrutiny.
FIS E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Fis Management Services sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, Fis Management Services sponsors E-3 visas for qualifying Australian professionals in technology and software roles. The company has filed E-3 Labor Condition Applications for positions such as software development and systems analysis. Sponsorship is tied to specific roles that meet the specialty occupation standard, so not every open position will qualify.
Which roles at Fis Management Services typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship at Fis Management Services concentrates in technical roles that require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Software engineers, systems analysts, IT consultants, and data specialists are the most common qualifying titles. Roles with broad or general requirements, where any degree is acceptable, typically do not meet the specialty occupation threshold USCIS applies.
How do I start the E-3 application process at Fis Management Services?
Once you receive a written job offer, Fis Management Services initiates the Labor Condition Application with DOL. After LCA certification, you complete the DS-160, pay the visa fee, and attend a consulate interview in Australia. Migrate Mate can coordinate the employer-side paperwork and prepare your full filing package to keep the timeline on track.
How long does the E-3 process take at Fis Management Services?
The DOL certifies most Labor Condition Applications within seven business days. Consulate appointment availability in Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth then determines the remaining timeline, which can range from a few weeks to longer during peak periods. End-to-end, most applicants complete the process within four to six weeks of receiving their offer letter, assuming no administrative processing delays.
What should I do if Fis Management Services hasn't sponsored E-3 visas recently?
A limited recent filing history doesn't mean sponsorship is unavailable. E-3 sponsorship decisions are role-specific and depend on hiring need at the time. Raise the E-3 option directly with the recruiter or hiring manager, explain that the employer cost is minimal compared to H-1B visa, and confirm that USCIS does not require any employer lottery registration for E-3 petitions.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at Fis Management Services?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
