Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding McKesson E-3 Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Align your degree to McKesson's specialty occupation requirements
McKesson's consulting and healthcare technology roles require a direct match between your degree field and the job duties. Pull the O*NET occupation profile for your target role to confirm the minimum education requirement before applying.
Research McKesson's LCA wage levels before negotiating
McKesson must pay at least the prevailing wage for your role and location. Use the OFLC Wage Search to check the Level I through Level IV wage range before your offer conversation so you're negotiating from the right baseline.
Flag your E-3 eligibility early in the recruiter screening
McKesson's recruiting teams in consulting and analytics operate on structured hiring cycles. Raising your Australian citizenship and E-3 status at the first recruiter call prevents delays when the offer stage triggers the sponsorship approval process internally.
Confirm McKesson's LCA filing timeline before accepting an offer
The LCA must be certified by DOL before your consulate appointment can proceed. Ask the HR or immigration point of contact how long McKesson's internal review and DOL submission process takes so you can plan your start date accurately.
Use Migrate Mate to prepare your E-3 filing documents
Once McKesson issues your certified LCA, Migrate Mate can handle the remaining E-3 filing preparation with a dedicated visa expert. This reduces the back-and-forth between you, the employer, and USCIS during the consular application stage.
Target McKesson's consulting and data teams over generalist roles
E-3 sponsorship requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation. McKesson's professional services and healthcare analytics positions carry clearer degree requirements than generalist operations or administrative roles, giving your application a stronger foundation.
McKesson E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does McKesson sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, McKesson sponsors E-3 visas for Australian nationals in qualifying specialty occupation roles. Sponsorship is most common in consulting, data analytics, and healthcare technology functions where roles carry clear bachelor's degree requirements. McKesson works with immigration counsel to manage the Labor Condition Application process, which is the employer's primary filing obligation under the E-3 program.
Which roles and departments at McKesson are most likely to receive E-3 sponsorship?
McKesson's consulting and professional services divisions, along with healthcare technology and data analytics teams, are the most consistent sources of E-3-eligible roles. These positions typically require degrees in business, information systems, health informatics, or related fields. Generalist administrative or entry-level operational roles are less likely to satisfy the specialty occupation standard USCIS applies to E-3 petitions.
How do I start the E-3 application process after receiving an offer from McKesson?
After McKesson extends an offer, their immigration team files a Labor Condition Application with DOL. Once DOL certifies the LCA, you use it to schedule your visa interview at a U.S. consulate in Australia. You'll also complete the DS-160 online application and pay the MRV fee. Migrate Mate can help you prepare the full document package after your LCA is certified.
How long does the E-3 sponsorship process take at McKesson?
The DOL typically certifies an LCA within seven business days of submission. McKesson's internal review and submission process adds time on top of that, so confirm the expected timeline with your HR contact at the offer stage. Consulate appointment availability in Australia varies by location and season, which is usually the longest variable in the overall timeline.
What should I do if McKesson's recruiter seems unfamiliar with the E-3 visa?
Recruiters at large healthcare companies sometimes conflate the E-3 with the H-1B visa, particularly around the misconception that a lottery is involved. Clarify that the E-3 is exclusively for Australian citizens, has a separate annual cap that has never been exhausted, and requires only an LCA from the employer rather than a full USCIS petition. Providing a brief USCIS reference on the E-3 can move the internal approval process forward.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at McKesson?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
