Align your credentials with RMF's project focus
RMF Engineering operates in technical consulting, so your degree must tie directly to the engineering discipline you're targeting. Review O*NET profiles for your specialty to confirm the role meets the E-3 specialty occupation definition before you apply.
Request LCA filing early in negotiations
RMF must file a Labor Condition Application with DOL before your E-3 can proceed. Ask your HR contact to initiate the LCA during the offer stage, not after signing, so you don't lose weeks waiting for DOL certification.
Verify your wage offer against prevailing rates
E-3 requires your salary to meet the DOL prevailing wage for your role and location. Run your job title and zip code through the OFLC Wage Search before your offer call so you can flag any shortfall before it becomes a consulate issue.
Prepare engineering-specific documentation for your interview
Consular officers scrutinize specialty occupation claims for consulting roles. Bring your degree transcripts, a detailed position description from RMF, and your certified LCA to demonstrate the direct connection between your qualifications and the offered role.
Use Migrate Mate to streamline your E-3 filing
Once RMF issues your offer and the LCA is certified, use Migrate Mate to handle the remaining E-3 paperwork. The platform's flat-fee service guides you through DS-160 completion, document checklists, and consulate appointment preparation specific to Australian applicants.
Confirm RMF's E-Verify enrollment before your start date
Consulting firms that hold federal contracts are typically required to participate in E-Verify. Confirm RMF's enrollment status with your HR contact, since E-Verify enrollment affects your onboarding timeline and employment authorization verification process.
Rmf Engineering, Inc. E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does RMF Engineering sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, RMF Engineering sponsors E-3 visas for qualified Australian professionals. The firm has filed E-3 Labor Condition Applications through DOL, primarily for engineering and technical consulting roles. If you're an Australian citizen with a relevant engineering degree and a job offer from RMF, you're eligible to pursue the E-3 process.
Which roles at RMF Engineering typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship at RMF Engineering is most common in technical disciplines, including structural, mechanical, civil, and project engineering roles. These positions align with the E-3 specialty occupation requirement, which mandates at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Consulting analysts and project managers with engineering backgrounds may also qualify depending on the role.
How do I start the E-3 application process at RMF Engineering?
After receiving a job offer, RMF's HR or legal team files a Labor Condition Application with DOL. Once the LCA is certified, you complete the DS-160, pay the MRV fee, and schedule your consulate appointment in Australia. USCIS is not involved in the standard E-3 consular process, which keeps the timeline shorter than employer-sponsored alternatives.
How long does the E-3 sponsorship process take at RMF Engineering?
DOL typically certifies the LCA within seven business days. After that, consulate appointment availability in Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth drives most of the timeline variation. Many applicants complete the full process, from offer acceptance to visa stamp, within four to six weeks, though consulate backlogs can extend this.
How do I find open E-3 roles at RMF Engineering?
Search for RMF Engineering roles on Migrate Mate, which filters job listings by verified E-3 sponsorship history so you're not guessing which employers will engage. You can also monitor RMF's careers page directly and reach out to their recruiting team, noting your E-3 eligibility as an Australian citizen upfront to avoid wasted screening rounds.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at Rmf Engineering?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
