Align your degree to the role
Squarespace's E-3 roles in engineering and product require a degree in a directly related field. A computer science degree supports a software engineering application, but a general business degree won't. Check the O*NET occupation profile for your target role to confirm the degree field requirement before applying.
Target roles with LCA filing history
Squarespace files Labor Condition Applications through DOL before sponsoring any E-3. Search OFLC Wage Search for Squarespace's certified LCAs to identify which job titles and locations the company has sponsored before, so you can target roles with a demonstrated filing pattern.
Raise sponsorship early in interviews
Squarespace's recruiting team handles E-3 logistics differently from H-1B visa, so don't assume your recruiter knows the distinction. Confirm at the offer stage that their immigration counsel has handled E-3 filings and that the LCA timeline is built into your start date.
Verify your prevailing wage before negotiating
Your E-3 offer must meet DOL prevailing wage for the role and location. Use OFLC Wage Search to look up the Level I through Level IV wage for your job title in New York or your target city before you negotiate, so you don't accept an offer that can't support your LCA.
Prepare your specialty occupation documentation
USCIS requires that the role qualifies as a specialty occupation. For Squarespace's product and engineering roles, pull the job posting language and match it against your degree transcript and any credential evaluations to build a clear field-to-role connection before your consular interview.
Use Migrate Mate to handle filing paperwork
Once Squarespace extends an offer and the LCA is certified, Migrate Mate can manage your E-3 filing at a flat fee, coordinating the DS-160, supporting documents, and consular prep so nothing slips between you and your employer during handoff.
Squarespace E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Squarespace sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, Squarespace sponsors E-3 visas for qualifying Australian professionals. The company primarily sponsors roles in software engineering, product management, and design. Squarespace works with immigration counsel to manage the LCA filing and consular process, so sponsorship support is available for candidates who meet the specialty occupation and degree requirements.
Which roles at Squarespace typically receive E-3 sponsorship?
Squarespace's E-3 sponsorship is concentrated in technical and product functions, including software engineering, UX and product design, and product management. These roles consistently meet the specialty occupation standard because they require a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as computer science, software engineering, or a design discipline.
How do I navigate the E-3 application process at Squarespace?
After receiving a written offer, Squarespace's immigration counsel files the Labor Condition Application with DOL. Once the LCA is certified, you complete the DS-160, pay the MRV fee, and attend a consular interview at a U.S. embassy in Australia. Migrate Mate can support you through the filing and consular preparation steps to keep the process on track.
How long does E-3 sponsorship take at Squarespace?
The LCA certification through DOL typically takes around seven business days. After that, your consular appointment availability drives the overall timeline. Sydney and Melbourne appointment slots vary by season, so building four to six weeks between your offer acceptance and intended start date gives you a realistic buffer for the full process.
How do I strengthen my E-3 application for a Squarespace role?
Match your degree field directly to the job description using the O*NET occupation profile as a reference. If your Australian bachelor's degree is three years, obtain a credential evaluation confirming U.S. equivalency. Clarify the specialty occupation connection in writing before your interview, and confirm with your recruiter that the LCA reflects the exact job title and worksite location in your offer letter.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at Squarespace?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
