Align your portfolio with core banking systems
East West Bank's development teams work across payment infrastructure, core banking platforms, and compliance tooling. Tailor your resume to highlight experience with financial systems, regulatory environments, or enterprise software delivery rather than generic project management.
Time OPT applications around USCIS H-1B cap deadlines
If you're on F-1 OPT, your H-1B registration window opens in March each year for an October 1 start date. Confirm your OPT end date relative to cap-gap eligibility so East West Bank's HR team can plan the filing timeline alongside your start date.
Ask about PERM sponsorship during offer negotiations
Banks with established immigration programs often initiate PERM labor certification for Development Managers on employment-based Green Card tracks. Raise this during the offer stage, not after onboarding, so both sides can align on the employer's typical timeline for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship.
Search for open Development Manager roles on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters job listings by visa sponsorship history, so you can identify active Development Manager openings at East West Bank without manually screening dozens of listings for sponsorship eligibility.
Prepare documentation showing specialty occupation standing
For H-1B petitions, USCIS requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation. For a Development Manager at a bank, gather evidence linking your degree field directly to the technical and managerial requirements in the job description before the employer files.

Find Development Manager at East West Bank JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does East West Bank sponsor H-1B visas for Development Managers?
Yes, East West Bank sponsors H-1B visas for Development Manager roles. The bank has an established immigration program and files across multiple visa categories for technical and management functions. If you're applying, confirm your current status and intended visa category early in the process so the recruiter can loop in the immigration team before an offer is extended.
How do I apply for Development Manager jobs at East West Bank?
Applications go through East West Bank's careers portal on their website. You can also find active Development Manager openings filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate, which streamlines the search for international candidates. When applying, align your resume with the bank's core technology and operations functions, and be upfront about your work authorization status in your initial conversations with the recruiter.
Which visa types does East West Bank commonly use for Development Manager roles?
East West Bank sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, TN, and F-1 OPT and CPT for Development Manager positions, along with employment-based Green Card categories including EB-2 and EB-3. The right category depends on your nationality, degree, and current status. TN applies to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles, while H-1B1 is available exclusively to Chilean and Singaporean nationals under trade agreements.
What qualifications does East West Bank expect for a Development Manager role?
Development Manager roles at East West Bank typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related technical field, along with hands-on software development experience and a track record of leading engineering teams. Familiarity with banking or financial services infrastructure, regulatory compliance systems, or enterprise software delivery carries significant weight given the bank's operating environment.
How do I know if East West Bank will sponsor my specific visa category?
The clearest approach is to ask directly during the recruiter screening call. East West Bank's immigration program covers several categories, but not every role qualifies for every visa type. For H-1B, the position must meet USCIS specialty occupation standards. For PERM-based Green Card sponsorship, the employer initiates the DOL labor certification process, so timeline alignment matters. Raise your visa situation early rather than waiting until an offer is on the table.
