Certify Your Clinical Credentials Before Applying
Healthcare Assistant roles at Family Health Centers of San Diego often require state-recognized certifications like CNA or MA. Verify your credentials meet California requirements through the Department of Consumer Affairs before submitting applications, since unverified foreign credentials slow sponsorship timelines.

Family Health Centers of San Diego operates across communities with high demand for bilingual healthcare support staff. Fluency in Spanish or another commonly spoken local language strengthens your candidacy and differentiates your application in a competitive field of clinically qualified candidates.
Browse Open Roles Directly Through Migrate Mate
Healthcare Assistant openings at Family Health Centers of San Diego are listed on Migrate Mate, filtered by visa sponsorship type. Use it to identify active postings and confirm which immigration pathways the organization is currently supporting before you apply.
Understand Which Visa Fits Your Clinical Role
Healthcare Assistant positions can qualify under H-1B if the role meets specialty occupation criteria, or under TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying medical occupations. Confirm the role's degree requirements with the hiring team before assuming a specific visa pathway applies.
Align Your Start Date With LCA Processing Windows
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with DOL before submitting an H-1B petition to USCIS. This step alone takes one to two weeks under normal processing. Build that window into your negotiated start date so your offer isn't jeopardized by filing delays.
Request Written Confirmation of Sponsorship During Offer
Before accepting a Healthcare Assistant offer, ask HR to confirm in writing which visa category they intend to sponsor and whether they cover filing fees. Community health organizations vary in how they structure sponsorship support, and clarity upfront prevents complications after you've resigned from a current role.
