Align Your Credentials to Ratings Operations Workflows
Fitch's Operations teams support credit ratings infrastructure, not generic back-office functions. Frame your resume around data validation, process governance, or systems coordination in financial services contexts so recruiters can map your background directly to their workflow.
Target Roles Tied to Regulatory Data Functions
Fitch operates under SEC oversight, which creates demand for Operations professionals who understand compliance-adjacent data handling. Roles supporting regulatory reporting or audit workflows tend to have stronger sponsorship cases because the specialty occupation argument is easier to document.
Confirm LCA Scope Before Accepting an Offer
Fitch has multiple U.S. offices. The DOL Labor Condition Application your employer files must list your actual worksite. If your role involves hybrid or multi-location arrangements, confirm with HR that the LCA covers all work locations before you accept.
Prepare for Specialty Occupation Documentation in Operations
USCIS scrutinizes H-1B petitions for Operations titles more closely than for engineering or software roles. Ask Fitch's immigration counsel how they document the degree requirement for your specific position so you can align your transcripts and experience letters accordingly.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Open Operations Roles at Fitch
Sponsorship-eligible Operations postings at financial firms aren't always labeled clearly on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter for verified sponsoring employers in investment and asset management so you're applying to roles where the pathway is already confirmed.

Find Operations at Fitch Ratings JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Fitch Ratings sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
Yes, Fitch Ratings has a documented record of sponsoring H-1B visas for Operations positions. Sponsorship is typically tied to roles requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher, such as positions in data operations, process management, or ratings support. You'll want to confirm sponsorship eligibility for your specific role during the offer stage, since not every Operations title automatically qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at Fitch Ratings?
Apply directly through Fitch Ratings' careers portal, where Operations roles are listed by department and location. Tailor your application to highlight financial services operations experience, particularly in data management, process oversight, or compliance-adjacent functions. You can also browse verified sponsoring Operations openings at Fitch through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa type so you can confirm eligibility before applying.
Which visa types does Fitch Ratings commonly use for Operations hires?
Fitch sponsors H-1B and E-3 visas for Operations roles, along with F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles. For longer-term pathways, Fitch has also supported EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for employees who demonstrate sustained contributions in their department.
What qualifications does Fitch Ratings look for in Operations candidates?
Fitch typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, information systems, or a related field. For Operations roles supporting credit ratings, familiarity with structured data workflows, financial instrument types, or regulatory reporting frameworks is valued. Prior experience in investment management, financial data platforms, or ratings agency environments strengthens your application significantly over generalist operations backgrounds.
How do I navigate the visa sponsorship timeline for an Operations role at Fitch?
H-1B sponsorship follows USCIS's April 1 filing window with an October 1 start date, so the timeline between offer and work authorization can span several months. If you're transitioning from F-1 OPT, coordinate closely with Fitch's HR team to ensure your OPT expiration and any cap-gap coverage align with their filing schedule. E-3 and TN visas have no annual cap, which allows for faster processing and more flexible start dates.
