Does Freese and Nichols sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Freese and Nichols sponsors H-1B visas. The firm has an established pattern of sponsoring international professionals in technical consulting roles. Sponsorship is typically tied to specialty occupation positions in engineering and related disciplines. If you're targeting the firm, focus your application on roles where a relevant technical degree is a clear requirement for the job.
Which visa types does Freese and Nichols sponsor?
Freese and Nichols sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visas. This range makes the firm accessible to a broad group of international job seekers, from students on OPT to professionals seeking long-term work authorization. TN sponsorship is particularly relevant for qualified Canadian and Mexican citizens, given the faster and more predictable process compared to H-1B.
What types of roles at Freese and Nichols are most likely to be sponsored?
Sponsorship at Freese and Nichols is concentrated in technical and engineering positions that align with the firm's core consulting services, including water resources, transportation, and municipal infrastructure projects. Roles requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific engineering or technical field are the strongest candidates for H-1B sponsorship, as they clearly meet the specialty occupation standard USCIS uses to evaluate petitions.
How do I find open sponsored jobs at Freese and Nichols?
The most reliable approach is to search for Freese and Nichols on Migrate Mate, which filters job listings by verified sponsorship history so you're not guessing whether a firm will actually support your visa. From there, filter by the visa type you need and focus on technical roles in the firm's core consulting practice areas, where sponsorship is most commonly offered.
How do I time my application to Freese and Nichols for H-1B sponsorship?
If you need H-1B sponsorship, the critical deadline is USCIS's annual registration window, which typically opens in early March for an October 1 start date. You'll need to have an offer and your employer must register you before that window closes. Aim to have interviews and offer negotiations completed by January or February to give HR sufficient lead time to prepare the filing.
