Align Your Credentials to D.C. Standards
D.C. requires specific licensure for classroom Instructors. Before applying, verify your foreign teaching credentials are evaluated by a NACES-approved body and confirm they meet D.C. Office of the State Superintendent of Education requirements.
Target Subject Areas With Persistent Vacancies
Friendship Public Charter School consistently posts Instructor openings across core subjects like special education, math, and science. Focusing your application on high-need areas strengthens your candidacy and makes sponsorship easier for the employer to justify.
Ask HR About Their Sponsorship Process Early
Charter schools handle immigration internally or through outside counsel, so processes vary. During interviews, ask whether they work with an immigration attorney and at what stage of the offer process sponsorship decisions are typically made.
Prepare a Portfolio Demonstrating Classroom Impact
Friendship Public Charter School's mission centers on rigorous academic outcomes for underserved students. A portfolio showing measurable student progress, lesson planning, and culturally responsive teaching gives your application a concrete edge over other candidates.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Instructor Openings
Browsing every charter school posting manually wastes time. Use Migrate Mate to filter Instructor roles at employers with an EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship history, so you're only applying where a realistic sponsorship path already exists.

Find Instructor at Friendship Public Charter School JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Friendship Public Charter School sponsor H-1B visas for Instructors?
Friendship Public Charter School's documented sponsorship activity for Instructor roles is primarily in the employment-based Green Card categories, specifically EB-2 and EB-3, rather than H-1B. If you're currently on a nonimmigrant visa and need H-1B sponsorship, raise this directly with HR during the offer stage, as charter schools' sponsorship practices can vary by role and funding.
Which visa types are commonly used for Instructor roles at Friendship Public Charter School?
Friendship Public Charter School has sponsored Instructor roles through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based Green Card pathways. EB-3 is the more common route for educators who hold a bachelor's degree, while EB-2 typically applies to those with advanced degrees or exceptional ability. Both require PERM labor certification filed through DOL before USCIS adjudicates the petition.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Instructor roles at Friendship Public Charter School?
Most Instructor positions require at minimum a bachelor's degree in education or a subject-specific field, along with a valid D.C. teaching license or eligibility to obtain one. Friendship Public Charter School prioritizes candidates with demonstrated experience in high-need subject areas and a track record of measurable student outcomes, particularly in urban or Title I school environments.
How do I apply for Instructor jobs at Friendship Public Charter School?
You can browse current Instructor openings at Friendship Public Charter School through Migrate Mate, which filters postings by employers with confirmed employment-based sponsorship history. When you apply, tailor your materials to Friendship's mission of academic excellence for underserved students and be prepared to provide credential evaluation documents if your degree was earned outside the United States.
How do I plan my timeline for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship through a charter school employer?
Employment-based Green Card sponsorship through an employer like Friendship Public Charter School is a multi-stage process. PERM labor certification alone typically takes six to twelve months through DOL. After approval, your employer files an I-140 petition with USCIS, and depending on your country of birth, you may face additional wait times before you can file for adjustment of status.
