Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
H-1B eligibility requires your role to qualify as a specialty occupation. For a Partnerships Lead at a consulting firm like Garver, frame your degree and experience around business development strategy or engineering management, not general sales.
Target Garver's infrastructure-focused practice areas
Garver operates across transportation, aviation, water, and federal markets. Research which practice areas are actively hiring Partnerships Leads, then position your outreach and application to reflect familiarity with those specific client verticals.
Raise sponsorship early in recruiter conversations
Consulting firms evaluate sponsorship feasibility before extending offers. When a Garver recruiter contacts you, confirm the role is open to visa sponsorship upfront rather than waiting until the offer stage, where reversals are more disruptive.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open Partnerships Lead roles
Garver posts Partnerships Lead openings across multiple locations. Use Migrate Mate to filter for roles at Garver that are open to visa sponsorship, so you're targeting active opportunities rather than cold outreach.
Prepare your LCA documentation before the offer stage
Your employer files the Labor Condition Application with DOL before USCIS can process your H-1B petition. Understanding that this DOL step precedes filing helps you set realistic start-date expectations with Garver's HR team during negotiations.

Find Partnerships Lead at Garver JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Garver sponsor H-1B visas for Partnerships Leads?
Yes, Garver sponsors H-1B visas and has a consistent track record of doing so across professional roles including Partnerships Leads. Because this role typically requires a relevant bachelor's degree or higher in a specialized field, it generally meets USCIS specialty occupation standards. Confirm sponsorship availability directly with the recruiter when you apply, as it can vary by specific position and location.
Which visa types does Garver commonly use for Partnerships Lead roles?
Garver sponsors across several categories for this function, including H-1B, TN (for Canadian and Mexican nationals), F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates, J-1 for exchange visitors, and EB-2 or EB-3 for candidates pursuing permanent residence. The right visa depends on your nationality, education, and where you are in your career. A Partnerships Lead with several years of relevant experience in consulting or engineering services is well-positioned for H-1B or Green Card pathways.
What qualifications does Garver expect for a Partnerships Lead position?
Garver typically looks for candidates with a background in civil engineering, business development, or a related technical field, along with demonstrated experience managing client relationships in infrastructure or professional services. Familiarity with Garver's core markets, including transportation, aviation, or water systems, strengthens your application. For visa sponsorship purposes, your degree should align with the specific responsibilities of the role to satisfy USCIS specialty occupation requirements.
How do I apply for Partnerships Lead jobs at Garver?
Start by browsing current Partnerships Lead openings at Garver through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles open to visa sponsorship so you can apply with confidence. Tailor your resume to Garver's consulting and infrastructure focus, and address your sponsorship needs clearly in early recruiter conversations. Garver's hiring process typically includes multiple interviews, so build in time for that before your current authorization expires.
How do I manage the H-1B timeline when targeting a role at Garver?
The cap-subject H-1B process runs on an annual cycle. USCIS opens registration in March, and work authorization under an approved petition typically begins October 1. If you're currently on OPT or another status, plan your job search so that any offer from Garver allows enough runway to register in the lottery. Cap-exempt pathways exist for certain situations, but most Partnerships Lead hires at consulting firms fall under the annual cap.
