ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As our Southeast Maritime & Coastal business continues to expand, we’re seeking a Federal Program Manager to serve as the Contract Manager for GHD’s USACE Savannah District Civil Works IDIQ contract. Align Your Credentials to GHD's Project Sectors
GHD organizes project delivery around infrastructure, water, energy, and environmental consulting. Frame your resume around specific sector experience rather than generic project management, as hiring managers assess technical domain fit alongside leadership competency.
Target Offices With Active Delivery Pipelines
GHD's Project Development Manager openings tend to cluster around regional offices with live infrastructure or environmental mandates. Research which U.S. offices recently won major contracts, then apply directly to those locations for the strongest sponsorship consideration.
Prepare a Professional Credentials Package Early
For EB-2 and EB-3 filings, USCIS and the PERM labor certification process require detailed documentation of your degree equivalency and specialized experience. Gather transcripts, professional registrations, and employer letters before you reach the offer stage, not after.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Active GHD Openings
GHD posts Project Development Manager roles across multiple portals and locations, making it easy to miss relevant openings. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for GHD roles that include visa sponsorship, so you're only spending time on positions that match your situation.
Ask HR Directly About the LCA Filing Timeline
GHD's HR team must file a Labor Condition Application with DOL before H-1B or EB-based sponsorship can proceed. Asking early in the offer process which law firm handles their immigration filings signals preparation and helps you estimate when you can realistically start.

Find Project Development Manager at GHD JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does GHD sponsor H-1B visas for Project Development Managers?
GHD's primary sponsorship pathways for Project Development Managers focus on EB-2, EB-3, TN, and F-1 OPT rather than H-1B. If you're pursuing an H-1B, the annual cap and lottery process make timing critical. GHD's immigration support is generally handled through outside counsel, so clarifying sponsorship type early in conversations with their HR team is the right move.
How do I apply for Project Development Manager jobs at GHD?
Applications go through GHD's careers portal, where roles are listed by region and service line. Because openings are spread across multiple U.S. offices and disappear quickly, checking Migrate Mate is an efficient way to surface current GHD Project Development Manager postings that include visa sponsorship. Tailor your application to the specific sector, whether water, energy, or environmental, that the role covers.
Which visa types does GHD commonly use for Project Development Manager roles?
GHD uses EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories for candidates targeting long-term employment, with PERM labor certification as the standard starting point. For earlier-career hires or recent graduates, F-1 OPT and CPT provide a shorter-term path while longer-term sponsorship is assessed. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering or consulting roles may also be eligible for TN status, which doesn't involve a lottery.
What qualifications does GHD expect for Project Development Manager candidates requiring sponsorship?
GHD typically expects a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, environmental science, project management, or a related technical discipline. Relevant professional certifications such as PMP or PE licensure strengthen your candidacy significantly. For PERM-based sponsorship, USCIS and DOL require that your qualifications align with the specific duties of the posted role, so generic management experience without sector depth is unlikely to support the filing.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Project Development Manager at GHD?
PERM labor certification through DOL currently runs several months to over a year depending on audit risk and backlog. After PERM approval, EB-3 petitions processed by USCIS add further time, and priority date backlogs vary significantly by country of birth. F-1 OPT sponsorship moves faster since no PERM is required, but the 12-month standard OPT window means you and GHD need to align on timing from your first week of employment.
